doctdc
Hey guys, I've been playing MVP for years (and I've been watching this site the whole time). Last week I got a new computer. Went to install MVP 2005... can't find disc one. I have disc two, it has been sitting in my cd drive for the past 2 years, but I just can't find the box or disc one. I've torn my house apart, still no luck. Any suggestions? Anyone live in the SF bay area? I'd gladly pay shipping or a convienence fee to borrow disc one. I'll send you a picture of disc two if you want proof that I actually DID buy the game. Also, anyone remember if there was a registration code? I think you just need to have the second cd in the drive to play it, but it's been so long since the original install that I don't remember. Anyway... sorry to come across as desperate, but I love MVP and can't wait to re-install and add all the mods and rosters from the guys on this site! Yankee4Life
Good luck in finding your CD and I hope that someone can help you with this if you can't find it. Yes, you do need a registration code to install the game. It is on the back of the CD case. If you can't find that, you've got more problems. doctdc
ohhh , that's bad news. If I need the registration key then I need to find my case. Not looking good. Thanks. DocTDC
doctdc
Ok this sucks. I can't find it anywhere. I even found two of my old High Heat cd's, but no disc one of MVP. If anyone wants to trade let me know. I have morrowind and the battle for middle earth which I'd be willing to part with. DocTDC
Yankee4Life
I don't know if this will help you any, but when I can't find something I am really looking for I look in the place where it shouldn't be. Also, could it be that you maybe loaned out this game to someone? Or another thought, if you know a friend that has this game. Borrow it from him. Darkslide820
I think it's worth 3 riddles. If he gets them right, he gets the CD.
doctdc
Davescout, One would like to think a single useless disc to you would be worth no more than the postage, but name a price. I still need disc 1. I'm getting desperate! lol DocTDC PS I'd be happy to send cd1 back to anyone who is willing to lend it to me for 15 mins! big shmooz
You have to make sure to get the registration code from him as well. Otherwise you will not be able to install the game & you will have paid at least the postage for nothing.
sjbushido
I had a similar problem in which my CD was scratched so bad that I could no longer install the game after I installed it. I did a system restore and had to rename each individual file, and finally got it fixed. The cd repair kit did not fix it enough to install the game; however, it was enough just to start the game, thank god because I could not find a copy. I wish you luck man and if you find one.. tell me where you got it.. if there is any more.. seems like there are none around the bay area.. I want another one for a backup copy, in case i get a laptop in the future and play on that on trips or somethin. again.. Good luck! -sjbushido
jservice
Anyone having any luck finding a copy under $50?
Darkslide820
There's one on Amazon.com for $60 right now. And I mean right now.
angryrat
That's so crazy. I bet EA wishes they had the rights to re release the game and take claim to that $60 themselves.
