ORIOLES HAVE A MONSTER DAY AT FENWAY

BOSTON - The Green Monster was just too looming for Orioles' batters against the Red Sox. Baltimore crushed four home runs, each of them over the Monster, as Kris Benson threw a complete game shutout.

Benson (4-0) went the full nine innings, only allowing three hits, while striking out four. Benson dropped his ERA to 2.52 on the year.

"He was lights out today," David Ortiz said. "I think he would have shut down the Yankees."

Barry Bonds erupted tonight, hitting two home runs, bringing his season total to 13. Bonds is also second on the team in RBIs with 24. Jim Thome launched his team leading 17th home run.

"I am just finding my groove," Thome said. "It feels good."

BONDS, THOME POWER ORIOLES TO WIN OVER SOX

BOSTON - Can anyone stop Jim Thome this year? The Boston Red Sox certainly cannot. Curt Schilling was pounded for seven runs in 4 2/3 innings, as the Red Sox won 11-7.

Thome continued an amazing year, as he connected on two home runs, one of which that traveled well over 450 feet.

"I am in a groove right now," Thome said. "Not even King Kong could stop me."

Barry Bonds hit a home run to dead center, his 14th of the year. Bonds went 3 for 5 on the day with the home run and three runs scored.

"I am getting closer to Hank by the day," Bonds said. "I am going to catch him soon."

USUAL CULPRITS FOR THE ORIOLES

BOSTON - At this rate, Jim Thome and Barry Bonds will not want to leave Fenway Park. The two had their third monster game in a row as the Orioles shut out the Red Sox 4-0.

Bonds went 3 for 4 with two singles and his 15th home run of the year. Bonds deposited Josh Beckett's 93 MPH fastball 430 feet to dead center.

"I am finding my groove now," Bonds said. "Just tell those other pitches to watch out."

Thome went 2 for 4 on the day, with two home runs. Both of Thome's homers came off of misplaced fastballs that he took advantage of.

"I don't know what they are trying to do," Thome said. "Anytime I get a fastball up and in or outside and up, I am going to crush it."

Adam Loewen (2-3) pitched seven innings, scattering eight hits, and struck out four.

I recently turned hitter's eye off in order to make it a little harder, and man do I hate change-ups and Roy Halladay. Since turning the hitter's eye off, I am 1-1. I will be posting my next game up shortly. Any suggestions on this dynasty, or even players I should consider picking up?

ORIOLES TAKE TWO OF THREE FROM JAYS, BONDS TAKES BURNETT DEEP

TORONTO - In the third game of the series between Baltimore and Toronto, A.J. Burnett was sent to the mound behind Roy Halladay in an attempt to take two of three from the Birds.

Unfortunately for the Blue Jays, Burnett was unable to secure the win, as the Orioles erupted for six runs.

Barry Bonds stepped to the plate in the top of the third inning, looking to refind his power stroke. One pitch later, Bonds crused Burnett's fastball deep to centerfield for his 16th home run of the year.

"I noticed Burnett pitching me low and away," Bonds said. "I told myself if he throws one more, I was going to take it deep. So I did."

Bonds finished the day with three RBIs. Lance Reid took a seat on the bench for Baltimore, as he needed a day of rest.

SAY HIS NAME...JIM THOME!

WASHINGTON - In the final game of the series between bitter in-state rivals, the Nationals bullpen folded again. Jim Thome hit two home runs, one off of Chad Cordero in the ninth, to tie the game at two.

"At this rate, I might be going for the Triple Crown," Thome said.

Thome has a shot at the elusive mark, as he leads the majors in home runs and RBIs. He has 23 HRs and 40 RBIs on the year. His batting average is slowly climbing after a small drop.

Going into the ninth, the Orioles were down one run, when Chad Cordero stepped on the mound. After a Manny ground out, Thome took the next pitch deep to tie the game. In the tenth, Cordero's troubles continued, as he allowed three more runs to score.

Chris Ray closed the door in the tenth for his 16th save.

ORIOLES HAND HALLADAY HIS SECOND LOSS

BALTIMORE - Roy Halladay does not like facing the Orioles. Only a week removed from being trounced by Baltimore, Halladay could not hold a lead as the Orioles downed the Jays 6-5.

The Orioles got on the scoreboard first in the second, when Jim Thome hit an RBI double, and Melvin Mora later scored him on a single. Thome's ball hit just below the top of the fence, nearly a home run.

"I barely missed the home run on that one," Thome said. "I am just happy I am doing the stuff to help my team win."

The Jays got three back in the next frame when Royce Clayton belted a three run homer off of Erik Bedard. Clayton added another RBI in the next inning, to put Toronto up two.

Lance Reid homered to tie the game, and then Craig Biggio won it in the eigth with an RBI single.

What would YOU like to see more of or at all in this dynasty. I am trying my hand with GIMP, but it's really hard. Let me know what you would like to see. Interviews? Features? Etc.
I love it how it is man but maybe a better "Milestone tracker" the one at the moment is a bit plain

ORIOLES COME BACK ONCE AGAIN, THOME CONNECTS

BALTIMORE - The Blue Jays once again took a lead on the Orioles going into the later innings. Brandon League came into the game to shut down their bats, but did the opposite. League allowed three runs in the eigth inning, sending the Orioles to a 6-4 win.

Jim Thome continued his fine year, as he sent a A.J. Burnett fastball deep into the Baltimore sky. Thome's 24th home run leaves him 6 shy of the elusive 500 home run club.

"What can I say," Thome said. "I just let the bat fly and sent the ball sailing."

Lance Reid put the Orioles up with a two RBI single. Reid has been hot as of late, and is coming close to the 3,000 hit club.

"I am just seeing the ball well," Reid said. "Even in my old age."

ORIOLES DON'T LET A'S GET ATHLETIC

BALTIMORE - The Orioles downed the A's 6-4, as Lance Reid went 3 for 4 on the night with three singles. Reid now needs 75 hits to reach 3,000 with 113 games to go.

Craig Biggio went 2 for 4 and Manny Ramirez broke out of his slump with a 3 for 4 night of his own. Biggio ripped two doubles and drove in two runs for Baltimore.

"I am feeling it right now," Biggio said. "12 hits to go for 3,000. I am getting it in five games."

When asked about Biggio's prediction, teammates just laughed and said, that's Craig.

BIGGIO SEPERATES SHOULDER, OUT FOR 52 DAYS

Biggio_Craig_37.jpg

Craig Biggio may need to wait a couple months in order to live up to his gaurantee. Biggio seperated his shoulder sliding into second base breaking up a double play. He was 2 for 2 at the time of the injury, also scoring one run. The team doctor said that, "Biggio's injury is pretty serious, and there is a lot of damage. He will need to sit out for a while." Biggio was unable to be reached for comment. Chris Gomez will start in his absence.

I am away from my computer that has MVP on it for a month as I have taken an internship in New Hampshire. When I return I will be either starting anew with a Phillies dynasty or continuing this one.
