Phillies Update:

NLCS Game Two: The Phils lost again, this time 8-4 to the Mets to go behind 0-2 in the series. However, the score was not a fair statement of the game as it was close most of the night, but the Mets scored three runs in the top of the ninth. The Phils tried to rally as Wes Helms led off the bottom of the ninth with a homer, but that was all they could muster in the inning.

Phillies Update:

NLCS Game 3: The Phillies finally got in the win column squeaking out a close one at Shea, 4-3. A three run homer by Chris Burke in the top of the fifth proved to be the difference in the game. Starter John Lieber left after four innings allowing three runs, and four different Phillies pitchers combined to shut-out the Mets the rest of the way.

NLCS Game 4: The Phils are now on the brink of elimination. They lost to the Mets 4-3, they score of the previous day flip-flopped. The trailed most of the day and tried to rally in the last innings scoring a run in the eight and another in the ninth, but came up one short.

Phillies Update:

NLCS Game 5: The Phillies 2007 season is over. It was a eventful season filled with many twists and turns. They made the playoffs, got to the NLCS, but lost in five games to the Mets. Game five was another nail-biter. The final score was 4-3 and the game featured an excellent pitching duel between Hamels and Hernandez. But, in the end the Phillies just didn't have enough to pull it out.

Is Gilbert going to get a promotion? By looking at his numbers, he really doesn't seem to deserve it but Cliff seems to have done alright. BTW, too bad the season has ended for the Phillies. Lets hope Cliff (and/or Gill) can help them in the following season. Take care.

Yes, they're both getting promoted (Even though Gil's numbers aren't that great). The organization thinks that they will pitch better when they are together.

OK - so I am still doing this, but I haven't had any motavation to do anything with it for the past week, and I also was working on my background overhaul, so this fell into the corner. Rest assured, I am still going to keep up with this dynasty, and I am brainstorming up plot lines all the time. Hopefully I will update more this week.

Great graphics and write up, Phils. :wtg:

Maybe one of the Holsinger brothers will get a chance to play in October. :)

Hopefully October, but that may not happen. We'll have to wait and see!

Having a local network cover their games is a really good idea. I am actually planning on doing somewhat similar though its always a work in progress.
