freudianslip
Pudge 77: I've been playing MVP 2005 since the day it came out (Feb 9, 2005) and I have always played on Pro level. I have a set of pro sliders that I've modified just a little bit from sliders that I obtained from here awhile ago. Still to this day, these sliders give me a challenge and offer up a great variety of results, including blowout wins, blowout losses, slugfests and pitchers duels. I am at work right now so I don't have them in front of me, but if you like, post your email and I will send you a PDF file with the pro sliders I use along with a copy of the datafile I use (Trues' most recent datafile) when I get home this afternoon. One thing that might stand out to you is that I have the pitching speed cranked up to +31. At this setting, a 95+ MPH fastball really looks like one and the off-speed stuff can really fool you if you are looking for heat. Against top pitchers, the hitting can be very difficult, as I believe it should be. However, against the 4th or 5th starter on a weak staff, after your first few at-bats, you can look to really tee-off by sitting on certain pitches. I hope you enjoy these. BTW, I do not make any claim that I am in anyway the author or creator of the sliders to which I refer. These sliders are a conglomeration of slider settings others have posted on this site with just a few modifications by me. Further, the datafile I use is all Trues' work and I thank him kindly for posting it here for us to use and enjoy. Maybe others would enjoy these too...I'll post them here when I get home today so others can give them a try too.

freudianslip
Seeing as I have gotten several requests for my modified PRO sliders, I decided to post them here. Please be aware that these are not really MY sliders in that much of the base for these sliders came from various posters on this forum. As such I cannot take credit for these, but I have tweaked them here and there to suit my needs. If you are not getting the results you like, I suggest you do the same. You should know that I absolutely crave realism and simulation baseball over anything else and I feel these sliders do a great job at that. I have been playing this game since the day it was released and these sliders still give me a great challenge. Also, I get all different types of games from pitchers duels to blowouts to slugfests and everything in between. BTW, I am using MVP 07 Patch #2, with Kumala's latest datafile as posted on this site and the latest UR Rosters as posted on this site. If you use these please let me know what your opinions, concerns and suggestions are. Without further ado, here they are: User Pitch Meter Difficulty: -39 Pitch Speed: +50 CPU Pitcher Ball Rate: +15 User Pitcher Fatigue: +13 CPU Pitcher Fatigue: +40 User Pitch Control: -27 CPU Pitch Control : -14 Bullpen Fatigue Rate: +12 Bullpen Fatigue Grace: +18 User Batting Contact: +13 CPU Batting Contact: +33 User Batting Power: +13 CPU Batting Power: +19 User Bunting Ability: +5 CPU Bunting Ability: +10 User Foul Ball Frequency: +50 CPU Foul Ball Frequency: +50 CPU Swing Frequency: +8 User OF Speed (Manual): -13 User OF Speed (MVP) -13 CPU Outfielder Speed: -9 User INF Speed (Manual): -13 User INF Speed (MVP): -13 CPU Infielder Speed: -11 User Throw Speed: -6 CPU Throw Speed: -8 User Throw Accuracy: -7 CPU Throw Accuracy: -11 User Catch Errors: +40 CPU Catch Errors: +19 User Dive Difficulty: +15 CPU Catch Effort: +5 User Baserunning Speed: +4 CPU Baserunning Speed: +5 User Runner Aggression: +10 CPU Runner Aggression: +13 User Runner Steal Speed: +6 CPU Runner Steal Speed: +7 User Runner Steal Delay: -2 CPU Runner Steal Delay: -2 CPU Steal Rate: +43 Runner Injury Freq.: +3 Pitcher Injury Freq.: +2 Batter Injury Freq.: +2 Fielder Injury Freq.: +3 Pitching MG Difficulty:
