superciuc
I heard the old stadiums being turned into and museum/little league park. So no, they're not tearing it down It would be great...the museum inside the Yankee stadium.
Kccitystar
I'm not a big fan of tearing down a stadium that had many great moments take place there. Don Larson's World Series Perfect Game, Maris' 61'st homer, Ruth hitting the stadium's first homer, and Lou Gehrig giving his famous farewell speach, as well as the Babe's. Call me a setenmentalist, call me a stubborn because I'm not a fan of change, not on this level, I believe that memories should be placed at a higher value than money. They are building a new stadium because it costs the city more to repair the old Yankee Stadium. The Mets also deserve a new stadium because c'mon, you cannot say with a straight face that Shea Stadium is a great place to see a ball game. Honestly, I've only been to Yankee Stadium, and only once too.
Kccitystar
Three baseball fields will be built atop the old Yankee Stadium field after the Yankees' new stadium opens. These new recreation facilities will be designed to alleviate the loss of parkland to the Yankees' new stadium. Monument Park will be relocated in the new stadium.
