FragStains
I installed this mod when it was first released. It worked fine. Then, I went on a purge and got rid of a lot of the games I didn't play. At the time, it was MVP. Now since the baseball season has started, I've gotten the fever again. So, I dug out my disks, downloaded the MVP 07 mod and installed it. This was three days ago. Since then, I've spent hours combing these and other forums looking for answers without having to make an annoying new thread. Last night, I even resorted to formatting and reinstalling XP Pro. The problem is that when I attempt to launch the game it goes to the splash, back to the desktop momentarily, then to the Griffey loading screen. Then it dumps back into the desktop. No errors...though sometimes it reports that mvp2005.exe had a problem. I've tried reinstalling, I've tried installing 05 first, then 07. I've tried the new patch (#2), I've tried changing out the models.big file... There is nothing on my system right now. Except for drivers and things like that. There is nothing that it should be conflicting with. In short, what should I do? I see no reason why this shouldn't work...I have plenty of power to run it. Thanks for any help and the inevitable snide remarks. :)

FragStains
You have not installed anything other than the 07 mod?Besides drivers, Firefox, and iTunes...no. After some investigation, I've found that after installation, nothing is created in My Documents. If I remember correctly, I thought some folders were created there for housing saves games and configs.

The Big Unit
Does anyone know if there's a way to tell for 100% sure if you have the EA #2 patch installed? (Like .exe date and /or size/or time, etc) I have it on my hard drive but I'll be darned if I can remember if I actually installed it after the '07 mod. Thanks in advance if anyone can help. maddux31
I beleive that #5 patch from EA contains all the other patches correct? I was under the impression that we needed not to install any of the official EA patches once we installed the 07 mod?
The Big Unit
I was under the impression that we needed not to install any of the official EA patches once we installed the 07 mod? I thought that too and was GOING to ask that instead of what I did ask but earlier in this thread someone said something about patch 2 and now I don't know which is true, that we need patch 2 or we don't need any of the patches if we have the 07 mod.
