Nobody likes old cheese.

But I do agree that you should post your final results and let us critique them before you upload a face. Also, look into uploading more than one face at once to make it easier for people to download.

youkilis needs re-shaping. stare at his real pic long enough and you'll see what i mean. the nose in particular.

now since you have inadvertantly given me permission to be knit-picky here goes. take a closer look at maddux's eyes. i can see where you filled in the flesh color. do you see it? it's along the bottom of the eye. you can actually see where the eyeball begins and where the eyelid need to be. you can still move that up a little bit. plus look at the left eye. see the inner part of the eye? that could still move up a little bit, and maybe out towards the eye a little too. but again, this is knit-picky since you'd never look at it this close anyhow.

definitely like the improvements though.

homer, for the maddux face, you mean the eyes have to be moved down, not up, right? (because the flesh color is beneath the eye?)

and for the left eye, I don't really understand your description.

the eyes themselves don't necessarily need to be moved, it's the flesh underneath it. but i think you're understanding what i'm saying.

but it's okay, like i said, it's knit-picky and you're not gonna see it in game anyhow. just keep cracking at them

homer, for the Youkilis one, all I think was that the nose was too big, right?

I thought the rest of the face looked close. I also edited out some of the goatee.

And also, homer, I use warp to edit out smiles. Is that good, or bad?

i don't know, but maybe it's just me, but i don't think it looks anything like him. for starters, the headshape doesn't look right. it looks too long. then there's the nose. the shape is wrong, and i think it's too big. i wish there was a picture of him without a big goofy smile, cuz i wanna say something about the lips but don't know what to say.

oh yeah, and that right eye needs to be fixed.

is that enough :) i think i just told you to do a completely new face.

but again, i don't know, that's just my opinion. someone please tell me i'm crazy if i am, but it just doesn't look like him at all. maybe he has too of a generic looking face. but all i know is when i look at that cyberface, i have no idea who it is.

I tried to do a face for Brendan Donnelly.

Here's what I think I need to work on:

1. Headshape (the lower third of the face)

2. Fix the eyes

3. Does this resemble him at all? Did I pick a bad headshape?

so make it longer :) but i agree. yes i do think it shows a resemblence once you make those fixes. the mouth doesn't line up correctly either.

take a closer look at the sides of the lips. it doesn't line up correctly, similar to the eyes. sorry, i'm a bit of a perfectionist, so feel free to ignore any of my critiques you don't wanna worry about :)

hell yeah! i can't remember if the tip of his nose is more narrow, but looks good. and just an itsy bitsy amount of movement in the right corner of the mouth.

hey what face model did you use for that first shot? it kinda looks like a good model for mike scioscia

The first shot was a self-modified version of Generic 307 from the original MVP 2005 models.big. Sorry if you want it, because I think I deleted it.

And sorry, I still don't get what you mean about the right side of the mouth.

I was using Cyberface Screenshots of each 504 Originals in MVP to find a good headshape. Thanks strecropper!

I'll see what I can do about the eyes, tip of nose (by tip, do you mean closer to the eyes, or closer to the mouth?), and I still don't understand what you mean by the mouth. I don't see anything... (Do you not like the fact that there's an extending black line or something?)

okay, the tip of the nose. point to the tip of your nose. come on. :)

it's circled for your reference. but like i said, i don't know. i'm just going off of memory. so don't hold too much in that comment.

okay, here's a close up of your shot up above.

now i drew in lines here. the green line represents what the face model says where the corner of the mouth is (where both lips meet). the red line represents where your texture maps out on it. like i said, it's very miniscule, so i wouldn't care too much about it. but if you really want it perfect, open the UV mapper and correct it. once it lines up correctly, you'll see that he's probably smiling a bit. that's because of the face model. simply select that area you're moving in the uv mapper, and go to the upper left window and either use the rotate or the move option to change it to what you want.
