jermy426
i installed MVP 07 patch #2 and i liked how the pitching was set up so that the camara travels with the ball. but idiot me changed the overlay to the NESN one and it wasnt working properly. so i looked at the download sections for the 07 overlay and i downloaded it and it was looking back to normal. but now the pitching meter is way on the top right hand corner of the screen and half of it is cut off. i then downloaded the pitching meter location fix and it doesnt seem to work. i put it in the Frontend dir like it said in the readme and all it does is bring up a cmd prompt for a split second then dissapears. is there anyway i can get the deafult overlay set up with the correct meter location found in the Patch #2 (i use Pitch view6/Batter 1)

spitoon
Hey Trues, Where are the variables in the datafile for the pitch meter location? The last time I moved the pitch meter I altered the fes_ingameoverlay.fel file, which is clearly more work than simply editing the datafile. Thanks in advance. The only way I know how to move the meter is in the fes_ingameoverlay.fel file. You have to work in conjunction with the cameras though in order to know where to move the meter. VTek33
I've got a question on editing the meter: I've been trying to edit the meter on my own by going into the .fel file but I'm stuck on actually opening it up to change the variables. I've gotten as far as unpacking the ingamebig file to see the overlay file but then I'm not sure how to edit that one once I get there. I'd like to make the meter slightly larger since I use a harder green zone setting. I know I could change the green zone size but I don't want to make a perfect pitch all the time. My goal is to have the meter from the NESN overlay with the new 07 overlay. The info bar is too nice to give up for the NESN one. Thanks for any help anybody can give me on this. Trues
These are the lines to edit in the fes_ingameoverlay.fel file. These 3 lines appear twice on lines 174-176 and again on lines 182-184. They all need to be changed. The number I have marked red are the x and y coordinates (positioning). The numbers in green are the size of the meter. VTek33
Thanks Trues! The thing I'm hung up on is how to open up the the fes file to edit it. I tried a bunch of things to open it but kept getting errors.
Trues
Here's a set of batch files to help. Just unzip these into a folder along with the ingame.big file and the fes_ingameoverlay.fel. 1. If the fes_ingameoverlay.fel file is compressed run the de-compress bat 2. open the fes_ingameoverlay.fel in any text editor 3. change the lines as stated above and save 4. run the compress.bat to re-compress it 5. run the pack.bat to pack in back into the ingame.bag file 6. place the ingame.big file into your mvp/data/frontend folder That's it. jhoff80
Speaking of edits to it, you know what might be cool (although it would be impossible to have a version to please everyone) would be if instead of the generic 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 buttons for the pitches if it used icons that actually look like the buttons on the controller, like Madden 07 does with the 360 controller. It wouldn't matter as much for me, but for when friends play it, it might help a little. I realize how many different variations there'd need to be for all the controllers but a few for the major controllers used (hint: 360 controller ) might be nice.
