I need a newbie-friendly tutorial for how to update rosters for MVP 2005 with 2007 rosters, starting with step 1, not step 7. I'm sure it took a lot of time and work to assemble the existing FAQ, and I'm sure it has helped many. But I don't have a freakin' clue how to start given these directions. After reading your post and having another look at it, I can see how it still might not cover the basics for a completely new user. Not to be sarcastic, but I bought in 2005. From Wal-Mart, actually. I just did a clean reinstall of Windows and was looking for a game to see how performance was on the reinstall, and this was the first I grabbed. Well, I just figured the answer to my question was somewhere on the site and I just wasn't smart enough to figure out where it was. That and the fact I couldn't follow the directions at all. Patch #2 seems to be gone from their mirrors and servers - every link EAMods.com has to download it doesn't have it. Even the file size for the download link says 0 bytes. I just tried downloading it, and it was working for me. A little persistence paid off. I downloaded the two files, installed it in a new folder, and lo and behold, EVERYTHING WORKS! The first time I tried, it restarted my computer when it tried to go to my first game, but since then, no problems. I have an 07 O's dynasty working as you read this. Although using the words O's and dynasty in the same sentence seems wrong. Anyway, THANK YOU to all who put in the time in effort. I couldn't believe the modders even had already replaced Kris Benson with Steve Traschel. THAT was impressive! All the ads, the correction of The Sun on the scoreboard, it's just amazing.
