D-Unit
Well to speak for many people who don't wanna say it, you are an ignorant a**hole. No one is flawless, not even the best of modders on this site. If the other games were so much better than MVP, people wouldn't be buying a two year old game like MVP, which is pretty scarce these days and I find to be in more demand than the crap that came out this year. Stop bitching about your roster problem and blaming the modders, if it's crashing then it's your fault. Don't expect people to jump to your rescue with the thread title and opening post. Hory
Yea, well, UR 8.0 does actually have crashing issues which were posted in the UR forum so it's not actually his 'fault'. It was more that he didn't bother to read the forums before posting. But yea, a full money-back refund is always available if you need it though. beavis29290
Dude quit the bitching and the crying. This site is great and the modders who spend time modding are even better. If you don't like it just go play some crappy game like 2k7. I suggest you appreciate what is done here. Remeber you don't have to download this stuff, just play the 05 version you little crybaby. Yankee4Life
I sure hope Totte knows that it's only one crybaby out there that has a problem with the Ultimate Rosters and that his work is very appreciated by us here.
lautrec
Why would people buy the game off me when they could go out to EB Games and buy it for under $10??? I'll tell you what, for every MVP 05 EA game you can get for under $10, ANYWHERE, I'll give you $20 each for them.
PirateFan13
Hey look... I can understand the guys frustration. I downloaded UR 8.0 and it jacked my game up so bad I had to reinstall everything and then it jacked it up all over again. Matter of fact my stuff was so jacked up, someone broke into my house and stole all my stuff. No wait, those aren't related. I understand the risks that you take downloading mods, I appreciate those that have the skills to write these mods and I would never put them on the spot as being responsible for my computer. The only issue I have is when I do have questions, its difficult to get them answered, guys get bent if I start a forum asking a question when I didn't have time to search through 32 pages of a forum for my answer, I work all the time so when I do have time I just want to have fun. I DO try and search for the answer first, I understand that there isn't a need for 27 new threads on one question. I am not as good with the computer as the rest, I require maybe a little more assistance, but I will be willing to help the next guy get through any problem that I got the answer to. Its just common courtesy. I want to be a contributer, but recently I had tons of problems with my game and I really wasn't getting much support. I will gladly contibute to this site, even on a regular basis, but cooler heads must prevail. To clarify, I enjoy this site, and I enjoy and appreciate those that build these mods, and I understand that they get tired of answering the same questions. We certainly do not need anyone calling people "hacks" and such, but understand, he wants to play his game, give him a little lattitude on being upset, obviously he should apologize for lashing out so harsh(if he hasn't already). Homer
he hasn't. and that's why he's getting what he's getting. being upset is no excuse to rip apart someone else's work. it's inexcusable. and for the whole search thing. i understand your frustration. it sucks having to search through that many pages to get your answer. but keep in mind that it's not always a matter of people getting tired of answering the same questions, it's a matter of organization. the thing is, if we all had done what we were supposed to do from the beginning, the search function wouldn't be a problem. if you searched for something, you'd come up with the answer, or lack there of easily. unfortunately it's not the case. so the same question get asked in brand new threads everyday. so when newcomers come along and have a question they do the same thing. so when they're told to search for it, they come up with a bagillion threads because of it. this is why we don't need the same answers and questions in a million different threads. and secondly, people don't want answer the same questions because often times they're long drawn out and would require to re-type an answer previously stated, which defeats the purpose of having it in the first place. so when someone tells another to search, it's usually because of those reasons. heck it may be just be them being a jerk too. of which, what can you do, you know? and yes it still does suck to have to go through all those threads now. and once you find the right thread, it really sucks that there's so much to read. but that's only because there's a lot to know. and if you don't know what you're doing, you can really mess up your game. hence this whole ordeal. but if modding were so easy, all of us would be doing. the answers just aren't always so simple. just don't give up. believe me that there are plenty of guys on here who are more than willing to help. you just need some patience. sometimes alot. Kccitystar
If there was a way to search through a topic that would be great, but I find it really weird that someone would really be absolutely critical of something that's free. Surely, there is a thread dedicated to Totte's UR updates, but you don't have to start at page 1 to figure out what the problem is. Work your way from the last page to the beginning if the update JUST started crashing on you. I can't stand people that don't have the energy to skim through a few pages of a mod's thread but have the energy to post a new thread about an issue of a mod that already has a thread made to serve its purpose. I've been meaning to tell you KC, your uniforms suck. And you better not get angry at me saying this. signed, A User LOL No, I have you guys to blame since Im not the only one who's game crashes at this exact point in the season cuz you guys cant release your product problem free Since when has anything ever been released completely 100% bug free? I'm curious as to who else has experienced this issue and who else has made a thread about it as well. Hacks... Hacks... You know, a majority of the crashes and issues that happen with most of the MVP updates here on this site are usually user error. That's not to say that some modders don't screw up from time to time, but that percentage is kind of small. Sorry UR didn't seem to work out for you, because by reading this topic it is the only roster available for MVP Baseball 2005, since KG's rosters and Epic rosters don't seem to be relevant despite them being great alternatives. Where do we send our check to you for 0.00, lyon810?

ChicagoCubs720
No, I have you guys to blame since Im not the only one who's game crashes at this exact point in the season cuz you guys cant release your product problem free, wtv I took a chance and it was my fault I admit that, should have known better than to download patches from guys who cant adress the problems with them properly, they just create new version of this that carry over the same problems. Anyways I gotta get going, gonna go buy MLB 2007:The Show, played this at my friends place and the game is of much better quality than the MVP series. I stayed with this game out of loyalty to EA, but seeing as EA themselves cant properly update this game, along with the group of hacks that contribute to this site, theres no point in restarting the same season over and over again if the end result is always the same. It looks like you found your solution. There's no reason for you to continue your whining in these forums. Well guys, it looks like we lost a valuable MVP fan. He contributed so much and will be sorely missed. Excuse me while I go cry my eyes out. Totte, this is all your fault. If only you would have fixed your stupid rosters, none of this would've happened. (I hope you detected my sarcasm)

If he is so mad he can take himself and his ego to another place or just not d/l at all. I echo that most errors are because of the user (First hand experience talkin' here), but on the rare occasion it is modder error, it is usually because there is soo much stuff to look over and double check, not even the best of them can be perfect. Totte
You don't have to download the posted mods...I am sure they were not posted , so that they would intentionally screw up peoples games. There is no conspiracy theory involved. Now wouldn't that be a story for the papers? :lmao: I think its funny when people say that the modders here can't do the job the right way. People like you who just complain about this thing doesn't work" "this thing sucks" doesn't know how much time that KC, UR, Hory, and many others who I can't think of right put into sharing their works of art for everybody to enjoy. Exactly! Keep in mind that we modders work on these downloads at our free time. We don't get paid and the time we're putting in can't be given back to us. Most of us have families and another life outside of modding and sometimes we put them 2nd or even 3rd just to release a mod. Well I have reason to be pissed, you guys post mods that dont allow people to play their games properly. I know you guys test these in advance prior to posting, but why do you post them regardless of the problems that people encounter. Why post it if the game crashes halfway through a season??? All of my updates are quality tested before I release them and it's more than one time I've held off on a release just to fix issues with the rosters. Why am I even telling you this since you've obviously made up your mind? Anyways I gotta get going, gonna go buy MLB 2007:The Show, played this at my friends place and the game is of much better quality than the MVP series. Good luck to you then, I wish you all the best Totte, this is all your fault. If only you would have fixed your stupid rosters, none of this would've happened. (I hope you detected my sarcasm) Haha, the sleepless nights I've had over this issue . Having released a roster that doesn't work just to screw the people that support me day and night  I sure hope Totte knows that it's only one crybaby out there that has a problem with the Ultimate Rosters and that his work is very appreciated by us here. That sure means a lot to me, thank you Totte, keep up the good work. I've been using your rosters for 6 dynasty seasons and I am very appreciative of your dedication to your work. Thank you. frankynaky
Man who ever that dude is, he's a jerk! First, this is the best baseball game ever, not because of EA, but because of MVP mods. Man i have been playing this game since day one, and its better now than it has ever been because of MVP mods. To be fair to the jerk, which no modder owes anything to, if you havent followed the evolution of mods since the beggining, it can be confusing as to how they will affect your game. The modders impress me so much because the structure of the game has a level of complexity that us "average people" just don't comprehend. We assume it's easy even though we could never do it ourselves. And that is why we take this site, and the modders, for granted. The modders make such wonderful complex things look so easy. And maybe thats a credit to the great talent pool we have among the many contributors on this site. The fact is modding this game is not easy, and if your a newbie, use what you learn in school, read and research as much as you can, and you will find that if you are educated in mods, you will make less mistakes. Reading one read me file is like sayng i can write a paper on a complex issue by simply reading a short simple explanation of a newspaper article. I will most likely get an F. And trust me, no game is funner than this one. NOTHING. Especially when you use the datafiles, and adjust the sliders, which i have for 2 years, eventually you will get the perfect settings which make this game so addictive. And man i will tell you something, this website has the best customer service than any company i have dealth with, and they dont earn a penny. Every time i need help, man i got complete strangers working around the clock to find a solution for me. These people are not only geniuses, man they are some of the kindest people i never even met. That is when i read your comments i have to think 1) your momma didnt raise you right or 2) you where seriously spoiled and feel the whole world owes you something. The fact is that modders owe us nothing, because without them we be bored out of our minds, playing inferior unpolished baseball games that would be collecting dust in our shelves. Instead they have made my MVP 2005 disk the most important and scratch free CD i have ever owned. And if you ever saw my CD collection, man!... that is saying something.
