Man who ever that dude is, he's a jerk!

First, this is the best baseball game ever, not because of EA, but because of MVP mods.

Man i have been playing this game since day one, and its better now than it has ever been because of MVP mods.

To be fair to the jerk, which no modder owes anything to, if you havent followed the evolution of mods since the beggining, it can be confusing as to how they will affect your game.

The modders impress me so much because the structure of the game has a level of complexity that us "average people" just don't comprehend. We assume it's easy even though we could never do it ourselves. And that is why we take this site, and the modders, for granted. The modders make such wonderful complex things look so easy. And maybe thats a credit to the great talent pool we have among the many contributors on this site.

The fact is modding this game is not easy, and if your a newbie, use what you learn in school, read and research as much as you can, and you will find that if you are educated in mods, you will make less mistakes.

Reading one read me file is like sayng i can write a paper on a complex issue by simply reading a short simple explanation of a newspaper article. I will most likely get an F.

And trust me, no game is funner than this one. NOTHING. Especially when you use the datafiles, and adjust the sliders, which i have for 2 years, eventually you will get the perfect settings which make this game so addictive.

And man i will tell you something, this website has the best customer service than any company i have dealth with, and they dont earn a penny. Every time i need help, man i got complete strangers working around the clock to find a solution for me. These people are not only geniuses, man they are some of the kindest people i never even met. That is when i read your comments i have to think 1) your momma didnt raise you right or 2) you where seriously spoiled and feel the whole world owes you something.

The fact is that modders owe us nothing, because without them we be bored out of our minds, playing inferior unpolished baseball games that would be collecting dust in our shelves.

Instead they have made my MVP 2005 disk the most important and scratch free CD i have ever owned. And if you ever saw my CD collection, man!... that is saying something.

Im not sure if this sort of thing has been addressed or tackled in the past, but since we were on the topic of searching. Is there any way we could make one forum just of "stickies" of commonly searched topics, so that we can cut down on the amount of topics that have already been asked? I know that there are stickies in every forum, but I'm proposing sorta like a FAQ fourm of just stickies.

I've thought of this idea before, too. Since a lot of people's questions are broad questions like "How do I make ____?" I always felt that there should be a tutorial thread with, like you said, stickied topics discussing these. MarkB's topic gives a nice tutorial on how to use MVPedit, and there's the topic on EAMods by Kraw that shows how to make a portrait, but that's it.

And as someone said before, oftentimes using the search function either doesn't work or shows you pages upon pages in which a certain topic may be mentioned in brief but not fully discussed. Or you may see a thread that goes on for 700 pages or so and can't really find it there.
