dennis_is_theman
is there a mod that makes the cpu throw more balls and picthes???
cheez
just be patient...if you don't swing at everything it is not uncommon to see several 3-2 counts and you will take a couple of walks each game. It is hard to not swing, but by being extremely patient the pitcher will easily throw 10-15 pitches per inning and occasionally you will have a big inning where the pitcher will throw 20-30. btw, i use no mods. jhath
ya... u gotta be willing to take a k looking... i struggle with it... but im gettin better... my problem is that my pitcher's pitch counts dont get high enough.. but i counter that by turning my stamina down... so that unless ive had a couple 3 pitch innings... pitchers with 100 stam like prior and wood... dont make it to the 9th
dennis_is_theman
what happnes when you edit a pitcher??? does his pitches change???
RobMac
1) Rodkey's datafiles create more balls 2) Before i started my dynasty i globally edited all pitchers to have 5 less control on their pitches... it creates more balls and makes pitching harder too
The Big Unit
You could always adjust the pitch speed slider and turn it down. That way the pitch will be slower and you'll have more time to see if it's going to be a ball or strike, thus you will swing less and pitch counts will go up. dennis_is_theman
i meant when you edit the pitcher using the edit player
RobMac
i dont think a pitcher's pitches change when you edit them unlike batter's whose hot and cold zones change... but if you want more balls, lower the control across the board using MVP edit... i did and get about 4 walks per game at least
dennis_is_theman
i just changed it and the stamina goes back to full
Big_Papi
I use Trues data file and I find that (when I'm patient) i get between 2-3 walkjs per game, more or less depending on the pitcher.
dassub
Is there a way to see the pitch count, in the box score or wherever? I know there's the stamina % and such, but it would be nice to know how many pitches have been thrown.
NickD
Press start and right on the menu beside the stamina bar on the right will be the pitch count for the current pitcher. I don't believe it's recorded elsewhere so once a pitcher is taken out of the ball game you'll never know :/
