philliesphan18
You got a pretty good team. Outfield and third base seem to be your weakest areas, let's hope you have a good backup solution in the minors. - Looking foreward to seeing your game posting style. georgex
Diamondbacks @ Rockies on Opening Day... LET THE GAME BEGIN Colorado.- The Diamondbacks are ready to confront their ninth season as a professional team in the circuit. This might be the year of the second title with a solid team in all it's lines. Félix "King" Hernández is going to be the pitcher in the opening day and is in charge of getting an early win for the Dbacks tonight. None the less, there's also a line-up fullfiled with big bats like Albert Pujos and Nick Swisher for producing runs. Although, it won't be that easy, the Rockies have also a solid line up with the names of Chipper Jones and Chase Utley hoping to get the honors for this evening. Everything is ready, we will now show you the probable pitchers and line-ups.
georgex
Colorado knew how to 'deal' with Hernández... THE KING IS OUT FOR SEVEN WEEKS BOX SCORE Colorado.- The Rockies defeated the Diamondbacks in the opening day by a margin of one run, but not only that, the D'backs also lost their main Starting Pitcher, Félix "King" Hernández. A strong rolling to the pitcher by Chipper Jones in the bottom of the first inning, hitted Hernández in the toe causing him a fracture. Although the out was concreted, Félix leaved the game immediately. The trainer said that the fracture could last at least seven weeks. Replacing Félix, came LRP Wilfredo Ledezma, and Chase Utley received him with hostility, in his first pitch Utley threw a home run for the Left Field. Ledezma worked out four innings, and the second run he allowed was in the fifth after a triple from Rondell White and in a fraction of a second a double from Shin-Soo Choo. Wilfredo will be replacing Félix in the pitching rotation for now. Although the game was 3-0 for the Rockies, the D'backs didn't give up. In the seventh inning Jay Gibbons made a double between Center-Right and he crossed home by a hit of Yuniesky Betancourt later in the inning. Actions weres 3-1, Nick Swisher came in the top of the eight inning an batted a huge home run over the right field. Pitifully the game ended up that way. The D'backs are now preparing themselves for the second game of the series with Andy Pettitte leading the mound for the Diamondbacks against Joe Blanton. GAME GALLERY
