RaptorQuiz
Some of you might remember that I am doing a project for my real-life job, that involves making some in-store advertising, etc, using a power-point presentation. That part is done (at long last). It includes numerous slides with lots of custom made graphics, and a few videos. There is background music, and many of the slides have some voice narration done by a female employee. (Also - thank you very much to nestorbe, medric, and especially 59fifty for creating multiple backgrounds for me). Now I could use some help of a different sort. The end goal of this project is to put this presentation - slides, audio, video, and all - onto a DVD that will play on numerous flat-screens throughout our store. The issue is this... ...how do I do that? I know there are several programs out there - but the one I found the most hits for through searching is UNBELIEVABLY slow. (LINK: http://www.newfreedownloads.com/find/power...-to-movie.html) I was wondering if ANYBODY out there had done this, or anything LIKE IT, that might be able to point me in the best direction to get this done. Price isn't an issue, as the big-boss at work says he will pay for it if I need to purchase a software title - I just figured there might be some knowledgable people here who can help me avoid picking the wrong stuff. Thanks for anyone who can help me out!
RaptorQuiz
If there are no tips for the above-mentioned... ...what kind of quality could I expect if I used a DVD-recorder (like, one meant for TV) to record a S-Video output of the presentation? Horrendous?

RaptorQuiz
Hey, thanks compmaniac! A couple of those I've already tried - but the others are new! I will give them a shot! If anyone else has any other suggestions, feel free! But once again, thanks comp!

AnthonyBurke
Have you tried to burn the presentation to a DVD using Nero? Nero works pretty well for making DVD's of movies and music and I can't say I've ever used it for a powerpoint slide presentation. I can tell you Nero Ultra 6 has an option for "Make a Video CD" Now weather you can get in there and tweak settings to allow it to play your presentation or not ? ? ? I don't know. Good Luck! AstroEric
Turning a Power Point presentation into a DVD? God, this is a long and complicated process. Okay...first, you have to be a former vice president of the United States. Then, you have to incorporate stock footage into your Power point, load it onto a movie screen, mount a forklift and have it transfer you around the screen when you need to point to something. Then, you have to convince Melissa Etheridge to do the theme song. Then, you draw on liberal self-righteousness to make your documentary a cult hit. Then, you show up at the Oscars and dominate. Nevermind, not as complicated as I thought. Good luck, RQ! Hope to see you at the Oscars next year!
