I'm using KGbaseball 3.0 roster, with the injury save. other info: all-star no budgets basic mlb setup otherwise. 2007 schedule trade rejection and deadline is on This roster, i will be making trades at the beginning of the year, within reason to get an upgraded Mariners Team, then make management decisions within the year while playing most games. i will update a .savreader file to my host, and keep the box scores on this site as well. i'll update after every game, and probably make some graphics for the dynasty as well. marinerschas2
Opening Day 07 pre game preview The Seattle Mariners enter the 2007 season with a whole new look. The Mariners finished 2006 with a 78-84 record and set out to make changes. Former GM Bill Bavasi started by trading away Rafael Soriano, Chris Snelling and some minor leaguers away to different teams, as well as hitting the free agent market. What he ended up with at the end of spring training was Jose Vidro, Jose Guillen, Miguel Batista, Horacio Ramirez, and Jeff Weaver. Unexpectedly Bill Bavasi was fired at the end of spring training. Here comes Chas. He jumped right in, trading away Jeff Weaver, Horacio Ramirez, Jose Vidro and some minor leaguers. He acquired; Chris Capuano, Kevin Mench, and several young minor league pitching prospects. In the next section, we will review each position on this team, and the players that will fill those spots. Roster outlook: The Rotation is set. This is how it will look, along with selected explanations. RHP: Felix Hernandez. Felix is the Mariners Ace, His strong arsenal of pitches and his power will set the pace to this rotation. LHP: Chris Capuano.Acquired to fill the much needed hole at the #2 spot. LHP: Jarrod Washburn. Consistant pitcher will eat innings in the 3 Spot RHP: Miguel Batista. LHP: Jake Woods. Nothing special to say, nothing bad to say. Will eat innings. Bullpen LHP: Sean White MRP:Eric O'Flaherty. Young fearless lefty will get K's MRP:Jon Huber. MRP:Matt Lindstrom. Hard throwing, may spend time in AAA SU:George Sherill. Reliable lefty handed specialist. SU:Chris Reitsma CL:JJ Putz. Dominant Closer Pitching Overview: This staff has the potential to be one of the best in the game. The starting is good enough, however past #2 it doesnt strike alot of fear into opposing lineups. The bullpen is young, but talented. If the players live up to their potential this could be one of the best bullpens in the league. JJ Putz is lights out at closer. Lineup Ichiro Beltre Ibanez: Back in the 3rd spot Sexson Guillen Mench: May platoon occasionally with broussard Johjima Betancourt Lopez Bench Burke Bloomquist: Do everything utility player may find himself on another team before the end of the season. Marini hints. Broussard Ellison Offense overview: This lineup has the potential to produce a lot of runs. There is power from 2-6, and this lineup could terrorize pitching in this league. However, playing at Safeco and the Mariners ability to not perform to potential, we could have an ugly lineup if they continue to strike out a lot. Prospect information: Brandon Morrow: Morrow is at AA West Tenn as the #1 starter. Marini made this decision so that Morrow could develop into the pitcher he is projected to be. Jeff Clement: Clement will be starting every day at catcher in AAA Tacoma. Marini seems content to let Clement play a full season in AAA to gain confidence and work on his overall ability. Adam Jones: Starting in CF everyday in AAA. Marini wants Jones to be ready to make the move to the big leagues within a few months. Marini is open to any questions about the team, and will answer them as much as he can.

kinghernandez
Good win but what's with Putz. That's not like him to give up two. Also, keep Willie man, he saves you from having an extra infielder without sacrificing pitching. I'm a Willie fan :)
thr33niL
Cool! Nice to see a Mariner dynasty in the mix. Will be keeping track of your progress young GM.. lol. You fleeced Melvin in that Cap/Mench deal. haha. Lost tons of salary and got a TOR young pitcher out of it. Definitely something Bill Bavasi wouldn't do. I'm almost ready to start my dynasty as soon as I stop being so anal. I swear I won't settle in with a dynasty until everyone has a cyber face and their batting stances and talents are perfect. Oh yeah, the rosters have to be 101% accurate too. Whats wrong with me? lol
marinerschas2
sorry my progress has been slow. i'm not having much time with working 1-10 pm everyday, and i wake up at 10-11 every morning. i'll get into this a bit more since im getting feedback. after every week in the game, ill do a full mlb level savreader update, sans players on other teams. i might play a "featured" minor league game every week or so also, because i like the minors, and they don't get much dynasty love. also, i'm looking for an easier solution then the already super easy home-hosted server for images. dang thing is pretty unreliable. any suggestions besides the normal imageshack variety?
