DiggsPEI
Hi, I've have MVP 05 since it came out and have always used the logitech dual action controller. I love it! Played a game last night and worked great, started using it this morning and every time i try to move a fielder with the left stick, all he wants to do is dive.....takes 3 steps and dives. i can't run down a fly ball or nothing....WTF?!!?!?!!? I didn't have this problem last night!
redsox
Check you key configurations. Maybe they changed somehow. Start there first.
DoubleD
Also try unplugging it and plugging it back in. My controller sometimes goes FUBAR and that normally fixes it.
spoint10
I just purchased MVP 05 for my laptop and was doing research into which controller I should get. Someone suggested the Logitech Dual Action, and when I went to research it, there are reviews all over the place that say the same thing. They all say that it works fine for a while and then the joysticks give out. It could just be that you bought a crappy piece of equipment... DJEagles
Not to hijack your thread, but nice to see another Atlantic Canadian on the boards. Hope you stick around.

adidasplaya9769
hey guys so u know, with most of those controllers, if the analog is pressed or moved in any direction at the start of the game, the game will recognize that as the default position... so it isnt usually goin to be faulty equipment jsut a minor issue... like previously stated all u need to do is unplug the control and then plug it back it in and that should do it. Frozen316
I've replaced my logitech dual action with a Nyko Airflo Ex after I got frustrated with the dual action losing the left analog stick calibration. So far I like it quite a lot, but you may need to fiddle with key configs. I personally am going to try editing my controller.cfg file (in My DocumentsMVP Baseball 2005) to get the analog stick dives and slides to be like they were when I was using the dual action controller. medric822
Dont know if anyone said this, but pause the game, unplug the controler, then plug it back in. Most of the time it works, but you'll lose your rumble.
Frozen316
Dont know if anyone said this, but pause the game, unplug the controler, then plug it back in. That's one of the reasons why I got a new controller I was using that method for a long time and eventually it just wouldn't fix it. So I would have been forced to play with my left analog stick out of calibration, skewed to the left. Now that I have this new controller I can play all the MVP I want!
dgutierrez32
what new controller did you use? And does a quick pickoff work on it?
Frozen316
A Nyko Airflo Ex, http://gear.ign.com/articles/594/594502p2.html I didn't know we could do quick pickoffs I'll try to find out I'm pretty sure you can. I picked off Chris Duncan (STL) with Jeff Weaver (SEA)
dgutierrez32
Alright, since my xbox360 controller wasn't working on my Vista PC, I bought the logitech dual action and it works fine. The only thing is, I still can't get the quick pickoff to work.
dgutierrez32
Can somebody post a controller.cfg for the logitech dual action controller? Mine went all screwy today. I can get it the buttons to work correctly and the directions mapped to the left analog, the only thing is that when I'm pitching, I can only place pitches in the 4 extreme corners (and I don't mean the strike zone). As soon as I barely move the analog, it moves as far as possible in that direction....has anybody else had this problem?
