TC 8 Suggestion

For TC 8 I would love to see the last 3 WS winners included-so we can see how they would do against the other teams. maybe replace some teams that maybe are not as popular from certain eras-just a thought, maybe take a vote on teams to replace.

That's not a new idea - I've thought sometimes the same. What would really be nice - and oh my what a hassle and a ton of work on TC - would be to have the 3 Minor leagues all the classic teams and the Major League Level the current teams. I'd love to take this years Brewers (and lots of others like this year's Yanks and Red Sox) and play them against the '39 Yanks or '55 Dodgers.

This is an impossible suggestion by me and an idea that is totally "out there" on my part. Total Classics - is so way, way, WAY cool I feel like a [bleeping bleep] for even mentioning this. I guess I'm going to work on some more classic stadiums for penance ;-)

Speaking of which I've got some real nice lighting in Classic Yankee now (I finally figured out the key to ambient lighting) and have changed a few signs. I found the right colors for the Bronx Savings Banks sign by catching it out of the corner of my eye in When it was a Game. I'm going to try and add one more 3d building in right field also.

We already did that. It was called Total Classics 2!

The MLB teams were from 2005, however, at the time, they were current.....

I'm looking at it. The problem is if I find it I don't know if I've fixed it because I'd have to make it happen first - which it hasn't for me - and then see if it doesn't happen (Huh!!). Here's the wall.dat file for Yankee - I think the problem is in the lines that I have bolded - the 1.27 probably has to be changed to 0.00. SeanO - if you see this what do you think? Hyman - if you're there - you are *the* wizard of OEdit. Does this make sense? The problem is the 1.27 was put in there for a reason and taking it out might make something else go wrong.

Where as if someone was interested enough to add a specific team or teams to a specific slot they abosolutely wanted in the Total Classics setup he could then provide the Roster; Portraits; Uniforms Home & Away; the Audio Files; and the Logo.

Then the Utility would place these files properly into the associated Total Classic files.

I do not think a Utility of this type is out of the question. What is probably Out of the Question is expecting the Total Classics team to accomidate every ones desires for what teams they would like to see in Total Classics since there is a limit to the available slots within MVP 2005.

There are several talented modders that could create such a Utility for this specific use. Then if an individual couldn't manage creating all these needed associated files he could likely get help from many other individuals from the MVPMods community to chip in.

That's definitely possible,

There could be a defined format to release "team packs" in and a team changer could be made possibly an adapted version of krawhitham's "game switcher" for total conversions?

This is probably the next step forward for TC and could make the game close to timeless.

And of course along with the 120 teams in TC theres another 70-odd teams from the single-season mods and of course hundreds of teams from 2003-2007 already created.
