My last dynasty went corrupt, so this time I will be very cautious with it. I have decided to make a backup just in case. I'm going to make this dynasty last. I hope you enjoy this dynasty, and I would love suggestions from you viewers!

I don't get it, someone started a cubs dynasty, so you started one, then someone starts a Padres dynasty so you start one too. I would choose a team that no one is doing, you'd garner more interest in it.

I agree with fred 100%, however, factor in (I believe) 2 A's dynasties, 2 Devil Rays dynasties, and a Royals dynasty...odds are, this doesn't survive.

You gotta stick with it man. Good luck to ya and don't rob the Dodgers for Loney this time!!! :biglaff:

Padres Transactions

Trades

San Diego Padres Send:

SP Greg Maddux

CF Luis Matos

SP Justin Germano

San Francisco Giants Send:

SP Matt Cain

RP Armando Benitez

1B Lance Neikro

The only reason why the computer did this trade is because they were getting rid of a non-productive reliever in Benitez. He also has a high salary.

-------------------------------------

San Diego Padres Send:

SP David Wells

RP Scott Strickland

SP Michael Ekstorm

Oakland A's Send:

SP Dan Haren

LF Travis Buck

SS Cliff Pennington

The only reason the A's did this is because they got two other good guys besides Wells and they have a lot of depth at SS and LF.

-------------------------------------

San Diego Padres Send:

SP Cesar Carrillo

LF Paul McAnulty

Cincinnati Reds Send:

SP Homer Bailey

LF Josh Hamilton

Only reason why the Reds did this deal is because Carrillo is better than Bailey and McAnulty is better than Hamilton.

-------------------------------------

San Diego Padres Send:

RF Brian Giles

New York Mets Send:

RF Shawn Green

I guess the Mets wanted a guy that could hit for some contact out in the

outfield.

-------------------------------------

San Diego Padres Send:

CF Mike Cameron

SP Mike Thompson

Tampa Bay Devil Rays Send:

RF Delmon Young

SP Mitch Talbot

The Rays did this deal because they got a great defensive outfielder in Cameron and got a great young pitcher that was worth the talent of Young and Talbot.

I realize that, but those were all supposed to work out, but they didn't. Most of them corrupted and the Royals dynasty just didnt' work out. I will make this work out, but I'm very sorry I've been busy with school so yeah. That's why I have been abandoning some dynasties so yeah. I'm very sorry guys and don't worry I won't rob the Dodgers of Loney.

I realize that, but I was going to choose the Royals because they have a young team, but I didn't like how their team was set up. By the way, I didn't look at cubsfaninfla's idea. I was just looking to see how had a good team to build around. I chose the Padres because they had great young guys with great talent. I didn't choose the Padres because of Cubsfan. So yeah. Hope you stick around.

If anyone understands about the demands of school, I do. I just finished my last term of law school, but I have kept my dynasty going.

I realize that, but I was going to choose the Royals because they have a young team, but I didn't like how their team was set up.

But you just changed the structure of the Padres, so couldn't you have done that with the Royals to get the team you wanted?

Back on track to your dynasty, you robbed the **** out of those teams to get those players (lol). But it is your dynasty, so make it do what it do...

I realize that, but I have a lot of homework and other schoolwork these days.

Anyways back to my dynasty, lmao. I wish the CPU was a lot smarter with trades because I know I would never do those trades. You gotta do what you gotta do when you need guys to build your team around. (Not turning off fair trade)

Do you plan on trading away Linebrink, Meredith, or Hoffman since you brought over Benetiz?

None of them may go unless Hoffman is struggling to get the job done. He may get moved, but other than that none of these guys are moving.

Upcoming Series & Probable Starters

sd.gifph_408241copy.jpg@ph_217096copy.jpgsf.gif

0-0, 0.00, Peavy R ----- 0-0, 0.00, Zito L

Game 1: Tues., April 3 at 1:35 P.M. PT

Scouting Report: Watch out for a great battle amongst the best Righty and Lefty in the league. Peavy has his heater and then he's got his killer change-up. He can strike anyone out with his change-up on an 0-2 count. Barry Zito is the classic finesse pitcher. He's got the old curveball that is the best in the game. Peavy will not get hit on all too much. Zito may lose control sometimes and issue walks, which may eventually lead to runs.

sd.gif32323.jpg@ph_118120copy.jpgsf.gif

0-0, 0.00, Bailey R ------ 0-0, 0.00, Maddux R

Game 2: Wed., April 4 at 7:15 P.M. PT

Scouting Report: Young is a hard throwing right-hander that can overpower his opponents with his 95 MPH Fastball. Maddux is just the opposite of Young. Maddux is not an overpowering pitcher and gets guys out with his changeup. He is a groundball pitcher and doesn't strike many batters out. This will be a classic dual of young ace vs vet. ace. Just watch out to see who gets the most run support and who makes the least mistakes.

sd.gifph_430912copy.jpg@ph_430161copy.jpgsf.gif

0-0, 0.00, Cain R --------- 0-0, 0.00, Lowry R

Game 3: Thurs., April 5 at 7:15 P.M. PT

Scouting Report:This will be a great matchup of young vs young. Cain, 22, has a 95 MPH fastball that can blow any man away. Lowry has a 92 MPH fastball that can also blow any man away. The only problem that Lowry and Cain will have is the lack of experience. This lack of experience may lead to control problems or a lot of runs scored by the opposing team.

"Bard 2-run double does it for Pads"

San Diego Padres (0-0) at San Francisco Giants (0-0)

Box Score

boxscore1.jpg

What Happened in the Game?

It was a wild game for the San Diego Padres, who played the San Francisco Giants on Tuesday. It started off with the Padres scoring first with a Delmon Young RBI Double. In the fourth inning, the Giants touched the bag three times. Mark Sweeney hit a 2-run triple. Then, in the 8th inning, the Padres put up two more to regain the lead 5-3. In the bottom of the 8th, Padres ace Jake Peavy gave up back-to-back-to back home runs to Randy Winn, Ray Durham, and Barry Bonds. In the top of the 9th inning with two outs and one man on, Jose Cruz took Kevin Correia for a two-run shot to tie up the game. After that, the Padres bullpen was lights out. Josh Bard hit a 2-run double to win the game for the Padres. Trevor Hoffman came in to get the last two outs of the game and get the save.

San Diego Padres Pull the Trigger on Another Deal

mvp20052007-04-1921-27-24-39.jpg

The Colorado Rockies did this deal for a few reasons. The first reason being because they get a cheaper and better Starting Pitcher in Chris Young. Also, the Rockies got a future ace in Tim Stauffer and a great vet in Shawn Estes. The only really good guy they gave up was 3B Garrett Atkins. The 3B job already belongs to Ian Stewart. It's just going to take Stewart a matter of a year or two to reach the MLB. Also, the Rockies got less salary in return from

the Padres.

Note

Top Prospect Homer Bailey will make his first career start tomorrow against Greg Maddux and the San Francisco Giants

Dang, im starting to think you turned off trades...

Nope. I'm not turning off trades, just the CPU can be dumb. Plus, if you looked at my reasoning it explains quite a bit, so I think it wasn't all too bad of a deal. [because of reasoning]
