adidasplaya9769
CF Soriano 2B Theriot/DeRosa 1B Lee 3B Ramirez RF Jones C Barrett LF Murton/Floyd SS Izturis P I dont really like the line up like that however... If it were up to me i would have: RF Soriano 2B Theriot/De Rosa 1B Lee 3B Ramirez C Barrett LF Murton/Floyd SS De Rosa/Theriot CF Pie P I dont really like izturis very much and i really cant stand jones... i would like to see us trade jones and izturis and bring up pagan... Also would love to see Guzman in that 5th starting spot (which thank god it sounds like that is going to happen)
WatchdogXC
Indians opening day lineup was Vs RHP CF Sizemore RF Nixon DH Hafner C Matinez 1B Blake LF Delucci SS Peralta 2B Barfield 3B Marte VsLHP CF Sizemore LF Michaels DH Hafner C Martinez 1B Garko RF Blake SS Peralta 2B Barfield 3B Marte After an injury to Marte and some tweaks, it looks like this at the moment: CF Sizemore 3B Blake or LF Delucci when healthy DH Hafner C Martinez 1B Garko RF Nixon SS Peralta LF Choo or Blake 3B ahead of Peralta if Delucci is healthy 2B Barfield If everybody was healthy, it would be a platoon of Delucci and Michaels in LF, Nixon, and Blake in RF, and Blake and Garko at 1B. It also could end up having Blake play a lot of 3B.
RussFeathers
With the Cubs lineup, im so confused as to why the cubs would pay 136 million dollars for a forty homer guy if HE IS GOING TO LEADOFF. I dont know what the obsession is with having him leadoff, because he should be a middle of the lineup type of guy. Just because torre had him leadoff in NY, does not mean he should only be a leadoff hitter.
adidasplaya9769
the reason is his comfort level... if you look at his numbers when he has hit in the middle of the line up he has never really produced.... granted they r not as large a sample as when he did lead off but he has hit better in the lead off spot... Harsh
Against RHP Alex Rios Adam Lind/Matt Stairs Vernon Wells Frank Thomas Lyle Overbay Aaron Hill Jason Phillips/Sal Fasano Royce Clayton John Macdonald/Jason Smith Againt LHP Alex Rios Adam Lind Vernon Wells Frank Thomas Lyle Overbay Aaron Hill Jason Phillips/Sal Fasano Royce Clayton John Macdonald Troy Glaus will be back in a few days. He normally bats 5th so everybody after Thomas moves down 1 spot and Lyle Overbay might go back up to the #2 spot.
