furball
Hi! I'm in my third season of a dynasty. I signed some guys on and traded for others that are in each of the different leagues (majors, AAA, AA, A). The thing is, I have some guys that I get into MAY with, and they are unhappy because they don't have enough playing time - whether it's everyday or backup or situational. So, I play them EVERYDAY for two months well into July or August - and they STILL say they are unhappy with their playing time! I've even gone into September with these guys who first show up unhappy with playing time in April, and they will NOT be happy with playing time, even if I play them EVERY DAY til they drop dead! No matter what their contract, etc. Any hints? Please?
UML2010
I've also noticed this on my dynasty too.
furball
No one has an explanation - or ideally, a fix - for this?
carter
2 suggestions -- 1) Ignore it because there isn't really a miracle fix for this or 2) Search the forums to find out what others have done.
furball
Thanks. I *did* search the forums and found one other guy who had posted the same question but never got an answer. I'm not sure why - in the 3rd season of a dynasty - this is showing up on so many of my players, but it seems that a situational player who plays every game for two straight months should not be unhappy with his playing time. I'm just surprised if there is no solution to this or if it hasn't happened to many others.
kgbaseball
Try using tywiggins' .dat exporter/importer to fix the problem. If I remember correctly, using the program gives all players yellow smilies. If he didn't fix it, I'd do that.
furball
KG, thanks! Is this what I did wrong? : Through trades, I had some kids with MLB contracts that wanted too much playing time. I reduced their stars down to 1 (and maybe lowered some other attributes or raised their age.) Then I released them, then resigned them to AA contracts. I then went in and raised their stars and other attributes back to normal. When I'm in the middle of a dynasty season is all the data associated with changing attributes not being editted when I do that? In other words, even though a player now shows as AA Situational, is there some element in the database that "remembers" that he was MLB Everyday? I guess the bigger issue is: even though I have access to the EDIT/CREATE PLAYER option in my dynasty, is the edit of attributes not really being reflected for my player in the dynasty database? If that's the case, then no wonder MVP2005 edit by Twiggins is such a big deal! :)
spitoon
I always thought that situational guys that play everyday were complaining about playing too much when they complained about playing time....?
