ktan87
Hi, I've been trying to install rokcp99's cyberfaces for adam wainwright and anthony reyes found here and here, respectively, using kraw's installer thingy 2.1 but have had no luck. Is this because of a player face number discrepancy? (I have MVP2007 installed). If so, how do I go about fixing this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. thr33niL
Make sure the face numbers are corresponding in MVPedit before you ever install a face. So yeah, check in MVPedit if the face numbers are right.
ktan87
Thanks.. i feel really dumb after how easy that was to fix. basically i just looked up the numbers and reinstalled the faces using those numbers.
pjrm82
Im having the same trouble with Jeff weaver, first of all... he looks like a burn victim in the game, and its creepy. And george sherril the reliever for the mariners has a black head with white arms... some kind of michael jackson impression or something... and adam jones is also a burn victim. That being said... What is MVPEDIT? do you mean the edit player in the game?? Why can't i just fix his face using the edit player? it doesnt let you do that. I tried to install weavers new cyber face but i couldnt get it to work. I put the cyberface into my mvp files and loaded the game.... what do i have to do next? if you an tell me that would be sweet. thanks pjrm82
thr33niL
pj, If you are going to be modding anything to do with players in MVP.. you need MVPedit. It is the basic #1 utility for this game that everyone needs to have. MVPedit Learn how to use it before you start messing with faces and such. compmaniac
In MVPEdit, find the player. Then find his face ID number under the "Appearance" tab, I believe.

pjrm82
hey thanks for the help ty wiggins. one thing, how do I save a players changes, and implement them into the game? for instance, george sherril has a black face, and a white body, i need his face to be white, so i changed the skin tone to 2 and saved it, however, he's still a skin tone 11 when i play it in the game. I know you are new here but you shouldn't bump posts. In regard to your problem, did you export the .dat files to the database folder after you saved? Darkslide820
How ironic... pjrm, go to MarkB's big encompassing FAQ thread. He lists a nice step-by-step with pictures for getting started with MVPedit. It helped me out, and I'm retarded when it comes to computers. I'd suggest installing the game and copying the entire folder, and then using that second install of the game in MVPedit. This will allow you to mess around and learn with the second install (the copy) while leaving the first install as backup so you don't have to reinstall the game if you screw something up. Remember that MVPedit doesn't have an "Undo" button and you can't X it to escape a mistake; changes are saved automatically in MVPedit.

big shmooz
anyone have any info about my post? hey thanks for the help ty wiggins. one thing, how do I save a players changes, and implement them into the game? for instance, george sherril has a black face, and a white body, i need his face to be white, so i changed the skin tone to 2 and saved it, however, he's still a skin tone 11 when i play it in the game. After you finish your changes, you need to click the "export" button. then navigate to the database folder on the screen that popped up when you clicked export. Double click the database folder (you will be able to to tell if you activated it by the folder looking like it has been opened in the graphic of the folder) Then click "ok" & let the program finish running it's thing. That's how you export the files. As far as you needing his face to be white, that has nothing to do with mvpedit. First of all, changing his skin tone will not change his face color. Only his body color will be changed. Your problem lies in the fact that you have a cyberface installed to Sherril's number that has another person's (black person) cyberface assigned to that number. The cyberfaces are actually located in the models.big. You need to install the correct face to the Sherril assigned number. (note, you can change cyberface numbers in mvpedit, but make sure you assign the number that matches that players actual face in the game.) Note... if you are using Totte's rosters & my models.big, you would have a white face with Sherril's body. The face assigned to him is 876 in the roster. My models.big uses that face number. If you are installing things yourself & using Totte's rosters, make sure to assign that face number to the cyberface files.
