AstroEric
By way of advertising for this recently reunited band's new awesome album, here's some lyrics from their most popular 90s alternative hit. If you click them, you'll be taken to the band's MySpace page, where you can listen to their new album in its entirety. Yankee4Life
AstroEric, I never heard of Dinosaur Jr. But that won't stop me from giving it a listen over the weekend. Here's one, and I am sure that if ronmexico were here, he would get it I was born into a scene of angriness and greed, and dominance and persecution. My mother was a queen, my dad I've never seen, I was never meant to be. And now I spend my time looking all around, For a man that's nowhere to be found. Until I find him I'm never gonna stop searching, I'm gonna find my man, gonna travel around.
ronmexico
Something by Maiden, don't remember what, but something by Maiden, cause I remember this song. :? EDIT: Google helps It's Wrathchild, and I didn't just assume it was Maiden because Y4L posted it :p

Yankee4Life
Here's one, a baseball song. That's the only clue. Now the children try to find it And they can’t believe their eyes `cause the old team just isn’t playing And the new team hardly tries And the sky has got so cloudy When it used to be so clear And the summer went so quickly this year. And the people watched in wonder, how they'd laugh and how they'd cheer And there used to be a ballpark right here. Trouble in transit, got through the roadblock, we blended with the crowd We got computer, we're tapping phone lines, I know that ain't allowed We dress like students, we dress like housewives, or in a suit and a tie I changed my hairstyle, so many times now, I don't know what I look like Alright I'm in love with modern moonlight 128 when it's dark outside I'm in love with Massachusetts I'm in love with the radio on It helps me from being alone late at night It helps me from being lonely late at night I don't feel so bad now in the car Don't feel so alone, got the radio on Like the roadrunner That's right
Yankee4Life
It's been quite a while since this thread has had any activity and the only reason why I brought it up again is because it's the off season and I figured we have a lot more time for threads like these. For those of you newer members that were not here when this thread was first going on, the object is to post some song lyrics and the others try and guess the name of the band and the song. Now that I've explained the way this thread works, you are more than welcome to jump in and try and stump the forum. Fair warning though, these guys are pretty good at this. Which one is this: Sweet Lucy was a dancer But none of us would chance her Because she was a samurai She made electric shadows Beyond our fingertips And none of us could reach that high
