Jim825
This mod is probably about 90% done and I'm hoping to release it sometime within the next month. I've got about 20 more loading screens to go and I've got to finish tweaking the rosters. Everything else (stadiums, portraits, faces, audios, uniforms, overlay, CTS screen, license screen) is done. I'm really happy with the way its coming out and I think others will be as well.
Dirtdog
This is excellent news! Thanks Jim for all the work, I remember the name from the High Heat days, so i know it's going to be quality. I will be be waiting, and if you need any help....Just ask.
Jim825
Here's a sneak peak at the 1978 season mod. I hope you enjoy it. Be aware that the the screen shots were taken on my work laptop that only has on-board graphics, so any player pictures will not look as good as they will on a system with a real video card. pjrm82
LOOKS AWESOME!!! CAN't wait to play it! One thing about the A's and Giants screen shots, The Oakland A's played in Oakland Alameda Colleseum , and you've got McAffee stadium.. I think their the same park, just reinivated, just that the outfield bleachers shouldnt look like that.. if you wanna get it lookin like 78'. I think their the same park, just reinivated, just that the outfield bleachers shouldnt look like that.. if you wanna get it lookin like 78'. You're quite right about that. I am not a stadium modder myself. the stadiums I'm using were created by others (and I got their permission to use them). What I did do was change the stadium names to their 1978 names, so some will be newer stadiums, even though the names are different. Also, I did the best that I could with the stadium select screens, but it wasn't always easy to find pictures from the 70's that looked good when they were scaled up to a size of 1024 x 256 (the size of the images in the select screens). Luckily, the majority of the stadiums in the mod are fairly accurate, and I was really lucky that so many classic ones were developed within the last few months (Riverfront, Three Rivers, Kingdome, Arlington, Exhibition, County Stadium, Fulton County). Jim825
The 1978 season mod is almost done. I'm hoping to release it sometime within the next 2 weeks. Plenty of testing has been done on it (manual games and sims) and the results look good. AlexTony was without a PC for a few weeks, so he just started looking over the rosters this week to give me any last tweaks. In the meantime, I'm working on the installer for the mod. In addition, I've created the All Star Game rosters and will include those with the mod. Here are a few new screenshots of the All Star teams: Starting pitchers: Lineups: NL defense: AL defense:

Jim825
Hi Jim825 How are things going with the 1978 mod, it looks real cool Things are going very well. I was just waiting for some last roster tweaks and a few new stadiums (70's Jack Murphy Stadium, new classic Yankee Stadium), and everything arrived over the weekend. Right now, I'm making some last tweaks to the installer and I then need to put together the documentation (readme, installation instructions, etc.). My goal is to release the mod within the next day or two. I'm off to New York to see the Yankees play on Thursday, so I'd really like to get the mod released before then. Sorry guys, I ran out of time with this, as I am heading out of town in a few hours. The installer and documentation are done and everything is packaged up. I just want a little more time to verify the installation process (following the exact steps that I laid out in the instructions) to make sure that there are no problems. I'd hate to rush to upload this, only to have people experience problems and then have no way for me to answer questions until after I get back tomorrow night. I'd rather take my time and get it right the first time. I should be able to finish up this final testing tomorrow night or early Friday morning and then upload everything on Friday. Trust me, it will be worth the wait..... :)
