ehhh
I've had this game for the PC for a while but I haven't played it since last September. I went back to try and play it today but my PC can't recognize the my Xbox controller I have hooked up through a USB adaptor - I had it working perfectly the last time I played the game. I go into control panel and gaming controllers and click add (nothing is there to remove) and at the bottom of the list I see "USB Xbox" which is from when I originally installed the controller. When I try to add this again it says "Missing Gameport or Gameport Driver." What the hell does that mean? The drivers should on the PC. The only thing that I can think of is that I sold my XBox for a 360 last November, so I just recently bought a used Xbox controller at EB. Could the used controller be the issue? I'm frustrated as hell cause I was itching to play this all day at work and now I can't figure it out!!! :joystick:
tywiggins
Have you tried unplugging it, then plugging it back in?

ehhh
Yes, several times in multiple USB ports. Restarting the PC didn't work either.
Timp
I've had that happen before. I followed these steps and it worked: http://www.redcl0ud.com/xbcd_install.html
ehhh
I've tried that a buncha times to avail, my PC still says the device is unrecognizable. I'm starting to think it's the controller.
ehhh
Well it finally sees the controller, but when I go into device manager it says.... "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)"
Timp
Hmmmm. Try uninstalling EVERYTHING that has to do with that controller and then do those same steps. If it doesn't work or you've already tried it and it doesn't work then I don't know where to go from there. BTW, what is "the registry?"
