ehhh
I just finished installing all of the stuff of the '07 mod as listed in the sticky above. Everything went perfectly except the game runs fast as hell, about 2-3 times faster than it should, as if someone was holding down a fast-forward button. I also went and checked my Total Classics mod which I had installed last summer (in a separate directory) and that also runs fast as hell. Very odd, anyone got any ideas? ehhh
Eh, actually the dual-core processor trick didn't work. If you were referring to the "use the search button" post in that thread - I tried a few different terms and nothing came up. My regular MVP '05 default install plays at normal speed still. kgbaseball
Did you try turning VSync on?

ehhh
I have the v-sync on in the game, but I can't find the damn thing for the LIFE of me on my PC. I'm in the Properties > Settings > Advanced and I can't find the option in there at all. I've gone through each tab about five times. I have Windows XP so I'd imagine it shouldn't be too hard to find.
kgbaseball
It should be under your video card settings.

ehhh
It should be under your video card settings. I found it, there's a slider option under two of the tabs that I set to "Always On" and it didn't help, still running faster than heck. The two sliders are labeled as "Wait for Vertical Sync". No dice.
ehhh
I don't understand why it's not a universal problem, the default MVP '05 works fine, but the modded MVP '07 is wacky. Yesterday the modded MVP '06 worked fine, so it must be something w. the '07 being on my system. This is a heck of a bummer.
felmlyd
u could try reinstalling or maybe updating your video drivers, or Direct X sometimes that can fix fluke problems
ehhh
How can I update my video drivers? And can you give me some more info on Direct X?
felmlyd
well Direct X is very important program and if u Google Direct X u wont have trouble finding the latest version. As far as Video Drivers u will want to: 1) Right Click MY computer and go to prperties 2) Find Your Device Manager in That Menu 3) Find out what kind of Video Card you have and then go to the site of the company that made that peice of hardware and look for links to Downlaod updated drivers

ehhh
Very weird, I finally got the driver figured out for my USB Xbox controller, and as soon as that started working the game slowed down back to it's normal place. No idea why, no idea how. But it works now, yahoo!
