brutushayesosu
Looks like the Browns are done for awhile. Won't pick again til 5th round unless they find a way to make another trade with Dallas. Not sure about the Eric Wright pick
Timp
Every pick in the first round had ~12 minutes in between them (I think). Has it always been that way? I hate how slow it was.
evil1182
It's usually 4 hours for the first round, this year was the longest ever.
Nealsdale
I'm excited about the Bears draft. Olsen and Wolfe are huge additions...we need a speedy back to use in a two RB attack with Garrett Wolfe.... I also like the picking up of the DE and a LB....good first day, B+
Timp
It's usually 4 hours for the first round, this year was the longest ever. Hmm, I wonder why they increased the time? Maybe teams were complaining or it's just a Goodell thing.
kgbaseball
More time for Keyshawn to run his mouth about how every WR reminds him of himself, and more time for Steve Young to talk about moxy. And oh yeah, more commercial time to make money to pay Mel Kiper to know everything about every human on the planet, and more money for Jaws to watch every single throw a QB has ever made. pujols
Don't forget Kiper ranting about Miami not picking Quinn.
kgbaseball
Probably the worst non-move of the day, although I guess they got their man in John Beck.
pujols
Yeah, I can't believe Miami took Ginn over Quinn. But I don't need Kiper telling me how bad it was for 30 minutes straight.
MudvayneRocker
i think it was a good move for miami, john beck is about just as good as quinn and they also got an extemely talented receiver who can show flashes of devin hester at times.
MarlinsMS_35
Looking back. Rd. 1(9)- Ted Ginn Jr. (WR- OSU) Explosive play maker, great player to replace Welker, and even better than Chicago's Devin Hester. He'll be able to learn from Chris Chambers, one of the best recievers in the league. Sure we passed up our QB need, but we addressed that later Rd. 2(40) John Beck (QB- BYU) I've never seen him play, but from what I've heard he's a very disciplined, instinctive QB. He'll be mentored by Trent Green if the trade goes through with KC. We all knew Culpepper was done in Miami, but this was his plane ticket. Rd. 2 (60) Samson Satele (C - Hawaii) Again, never seen this guy play, but hes huge, and huge lineman have good futures in the NFL Rd. 3 (71) Lorenzo Booker (RB- FSU) As a lifelong FSU fan, I am absolutely thrilled we got him, and when I saw his name flash on the screen, I was jumping up and down. He's and explosive back with great instincts, and will pack Miami with a great 1-2 punch along with Ronnie Brown. I've been forced to cheer for Leon Washington, even though he's in a Jets uniform. At least now, I have one on of my guys here. I think this might set up a trade to send Ricky Williams away. Day 1 Summary We addressed two of our needs with a WR, and a QB. I'm disappointed we didn't get buster Davis, because he was a huge sleeper in my opinion, and the Cardinals received a great player, who is going to be one of the hardest hitters in the NFL, and I will still root for him. Apparently the Front office like John beck better than Quinn, and we'll see how that turns out. On day 2 we need to address out needs at O-line, D-line, and the defensive secondary, and we can do that with 1 4th rounder, 2 6th rounders, and 3 7th rounders. First day players are the standout players, second day players, are what build up your team. Go Fins!
