freudianslip's PRO Sliders for MVP 07

Seeing as I have gotten several requests for my modified PRO sliders, I decided to post them here.

Please be aware that these are not really MY sliders in that much of the base for these sliders came from various posters on this forum. As such I cannot take credit for these, but I have tweaked them here and there to suit my needs. If you are not getting the results you like, I suggest you do the same.

You should know that I absolutely crave realism and simulation baseball over anything else and I feel these sliders do a great job at that. I have been playing this game since the day it was released and these sliders still give me a great challenge. Also, I get all different types of games from pitchers duels to blowouts to slugfests and everything in between.

BTW, I am using MVP 07 Patch #2, with Kumala's latest datafile as posted on this site and the latest UR Rosters as posted on this site.

If you use these please let me know what your opinions, concerns and suggestions are. Without further ado, here they are:

KG,

I appreciate your suggestion. I have tried All-Star as well as MVP level. In my personal experience, I've found that PRO level provides the best representation of simulation baseball. As a result, these sliders are an attempt to make PRO level significantly harder while at the same time ensuring that some of the detriments of All-Star and MVP level (CPU being too clutch at end of game, just to name one example) do not find their way into my experience.

Sure I lose in the late innings with these sliders, just not 90% of the time.

Again, these sliders are suited to my playing style and my goals in playing this game. They may not work for everyone nor do I purport that they do.

Thank you and happy baseballing to you...

I totally agree... All-Star and MVP levels are more arcade than simulation... I tried your pro sliders settings last night and you are right it's great... It's more like a real game... thanks

Freudianslip,

Sorry, also wondering what other settings you use (i.e. pitching view, hot cold zones, strike zone, etc.). Just trying to get the best simulation possible. Thanks again.

I also play on "pro" Fruedianslip. I for one, am older and my "skeels" have diminished. Besides your right about the feel in "pro". I have had so many great games. I will compare your sliders to mine and maybe look at variances between the two. Also, curious about your views you use.

Thanks

Thanks for the positive feedback.

As for my other settings, as best as I can remember here they are:

Comprehensive Mod: MVP 07 w/ Patch #2

Datafile: Kumala's latest datafile (do a search for it in the downloads section)

Hot/Cold Zones: Fade

Strike Zone: OFF

Pitch Cursor: OFF

Fielding: Assisted

Views: Bat 4/Pitch 6

That's all I can think of for the moment. If anybody has any other questions, concerns or suggestions, please post them here.

Happy baseballing to you...
