You're painting corners, getting batters to hit weak ground balls or pop flys, and your defense doesn't make the plays. But anyway, this is :offtopic: The best thing to do is to strike all the batters out. If you want to do it well do it yourself. I hate when stuff goes like that. -- And now, :ontopic: My league used metal bats so I never got a chance to hit with a wooden one, but I always liked the lighter, longer, and a bit skinnier ones the most. This could result in over-throwing, which leaves the pitcher vulnerable to throwing more mistake pitches and even injury.
