Ticaliano
For the third time in two months, I was forced to do a complete MVP 2005 re-install due to various game crashes. I try to backup my files as I make changes; but sometimes, especially with the self-installers, you can't make a backup of every file being changed. With so many different possible modding combinations out there, I guess there would be no realistic way to test for total compatibility across the board. It just sucks when something "breaks" and you can't fix it without re-installing everything.
farkwhar
I have had the same thing happen... On my third time... Now all I'll download is mods that don't have self installers... No ones fault mind you it just happens sometimes... Still love the site... but the cyberface mods trip me out... I really don't care about the cyberfaces and I can't believe all the ones that do... but to each his own...
philliesphan18
Do like I do. I have a huge HD so I just make a backup copy of my folder. It comes in handy a lot, I have used it three times.

I have had crashes after updating cyberfaces, stadiums, dat files, and with some self installers. For example, couldn't use an updated Fenway Park stadium mod with my MVP 2007 installation. It would just crash right before the game screen loaded. Don't get me wrong, I think this site is wonderful, and the modders do an absolutely amazing job. I just wish there was a way to make everything 100% compatible. That's all.
Ghostrider
In your "My Documents" folder there should be another folder called "MVP Baseball 2005". Your user profile, controller configurations, and game saves stay in there unharmed even if you need to reinstall. That's saved me a few times.
