KerryW
Lower the "CPU Batting Contact" slider......and make sure you constantly hit a little outside the corners and get the batters to chase the pitches. Also, it's important that you keep hitting the green zone in the pitch meter.
clements
Like batting, pitching takes patience. I find if I get a batter in 0-2 and 1-2, you really need to work him to get a strike out. If you're using a tunefile, you shouldn't have to lower the CPU Contact slider too much (or at all) to get strikeouts. Here is my advice: Don't throw every pitch as a strike. Throw a few balls. In real life pitchers never throw as many strikes as the user-player tends to do in this game. Setup the batter with some outside stuff and then bust him with an inside curve or vice versa. Getting strikeouts at All Star or MVP is very tough but very rewarding. And I hate to pull this quote from such a crappy baseball movie, but as Kevin Costner says in Bull Durham, "Relax alright don't try to strike everyone out. Strikeouts are boring besides that they're fascist. Throw some ground balls it's more democratic."

YankeePride
I never can K a hitter I am using Logitech Dual Action GamePad and never cant k a batter always out or a hr and single and never a K any suggestions ? Definitely keep the hitters guessing. Throw a lot of balls and this may sound crazy, don't be afraid to walk somebody. Honestly, the CPU will swing at bad pitches, especially if you pound a spot with strikes and balls. In addition, know which hitters are free swingers (Soriano-types). They will chase outside sliders and fastballs. When you do have two strikes, throw an effective pitch outside of the strike zone. Sometimes I use a splitter, curve, slider. I throw it low and away (sometimes inside because I don't want to have a similar pattern) and the hitters will chase. Be creative with two strikes. Know that the hitters are going to be defensive and use that against them.
MarlinsFan
Here are some good ways to K a batter This is if the pitcher is a righty Cutter lower left of strike zone Kuckle curve on the upper right side of the strikezone(try to hit the very corner batter might bat even if its ball) 2-seamer bottom right of the strikezone i get batters 85% of the time looking on this pitch sinker/splitter, best to use to "finish" off a batter supposing you got 2 strikes just pitch the ball low in the strikezone, and they'll swing 60% of the time if you have a 3-2 count, use the sinker on the top of the strikezone
Big_Papi
Tonight I was playin with big Schill and Garrett Anderson swung at a curve down, so I threw him another and he fouled it off, and threw another and got the K. Sometimes if you realize a certain guy can't hit a pitch, hammer him with it and he'll either hit a pop, dribbler or K. (He could smoke it too )
