It's hard to say, which name would fit most, like mentioned already your last name would help, because like you said you want a young fresh name and I guess it should sound nice too. For example, if your last name is "Power" you should name your son Max and your daughter Maxine, no just kidding. I don't know too much about the common names in Canada or the US, because I am from Germany, and it's hard to say if a rare name here that might sound very nice and exotic might be as good as here... So we didn't want our kid to go by Liz. I'm suire it's an anomlay, but nevertheless we went with "Elizabeth" which is a very traditional name.
