Yeah, I'd refrain from names like that. There is a singer named Damaris (I probably mispelled her name), and she jokes about how when she was younger she wanted to know what her name ment, and she found out. It ment "young cow"- Heffer.

But I'm sure that you and your spouse will make the right choice in naming your child.

I like the name Jessica, but I want a new and fresh name which means something,

like Shakira which means"grateful"

Jessica's my gf's name, so I'm impartial. I had a list of daughter names if I was ever going to have one:

Madeline

Madison

Emma

Amaiyah

Knowing your last name might help. If your last name is Supernewsomphong, then your poor children might want something short and sweet.

My last name is "Liz" is a short name

Yeah, its too early for me to consider names for children. I mean, I dont even have a girlfriend yet. I guess chicks dont dig guys who look like batman (because of my back brace, I joke around saying I feel like batman, with my calling signal being one of my vector circles, lol).

How about Judy Finkle? (you guys might be too young to remember that movie...BMOC).

Seriously though, my twin girls are about to turn 1 year this month. Their names are Alexa and Olivia.

Well, just about every name means something. You mentioned that you like Jessica but want a fresh name that means something. Jessica means "God Beholds" or "He sees" according to a couple of name sites.

I also liked Jessica a lot and also Cheyenne, but we ended up going with Abigail or Abby when our daughter was born. And of course, I love that name as well :-)

Yeah, I'm turning 18 this fall, so technically I can get married and have kids, but yeah, its too early. My brother had his first when he was 19 though.

Well, i don't really want kids at 18. And i don't want to get married at 18.

I'm going to wait until i'm 30. Sure.
