question about all timer file

I have downloade all timer file but before install him I would like to know if player that are in this file (I want cal ripken and burnitz who are in oriole and brewer all timer team) could be put in Free agent listing t sign them in my team or if they ar e only available in single game mode.

ps : only in cas it"s possible to put them on FA list, how to intall all tiemer file without desinstall my actual portrait file ?
