kaplerisking Posted May 8, 2007 Share Posted May 8, 2007 In the unofficial "official" MVPmods yahoo fantasy league, about 6 morons have completely quit the league/abandoned their teams. I don't think any of us in the league really want to cut it down to a 7 team league and redistribute all of their players, because that would make every team stacked and eliminate the fun. The commish hasn't officially said that we're going to replace the owners yet, but I'm out of patience with people who say that they will commit to the league and then immediately ignore it. I've had 2 separate trade offers on the table for several weeks and neither of them has been responded to, so you can all understand why I'm annoyed and I'm sure that others in the league are just as frustrated as I am. That being said, do people have interest in taking over teams? If so, post in this thread. I can give descriptions of the teams (players, standings, etc) if you express interest. But for the love of Zeuss almighty, do NOT say that you'll join up and then stop participating...there is nothing more annoying than that. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'm not sure exactly how it works, but hopefully he'll post in this thread in the next couple of days and we'll find out exactly if and how it can be done. And yes it is free. I'm active and will always be active, so there shouldn't be a problem there. If this can happen, a random draw for teams is the most fair. I agree. I'm pretty confident that you can't delete a team, nor invite a team after the draft order has been decided. So outside of those people giving new people their yahoo IDs, we're fucked. I'm quite sure that something can be done. I was a league commish a couple years ago and when people stopped playing I was able to purge their teams. I took all of their players and put them on the waiver wire, leaving their teams completely empty. Whether or not we can transfer teams though, I'm not sure. And Vanhaltren, don't worry I know you're still active...otherwise you probably wouldn't be in the top 5 in standings. In any case, 2 of the team owners have shown up after I posted my rant on the league wall, so that leaves spots for just 3 people to take over (it was only 5 teams that I was under the impression had been abandoned, not 6 like I originally posted). DoubleD Posted May 8, 2007 Share Posted May 8, 2007 Well yeah, we can purge their rosters and re-distribute their players, and then lock the teams so the managers can't do anything, but I'm almost completely positive we can't invite new people in to take over their roles.
