AnthonyBurke
useing mvp edit to put your picture in the game 1.) download mvp edit 2.) dowload the latest rosters you want to use 3.) open mvp edit 4.) click on file at the top of the program (mvp edit) 5.) click on open at the top of the program (mvp edit) 6.) Now select you latest rosters file you downloaded (the .mbe file) 7.) Once the file or (.mbe) is loaded you'll see players names on the left in the roster columns. Just above the roster columns is a drop down menu with teams names... select the down arrow and go to free agents all the way at the bottom and select this catergory. 8.) Next to that drop down menu it should say something like 215/255 - This means there are 215 free agaents in this catergory but you can have 255, So just make sure there is room for your character you want to create. the number on the left "215" should be smaller then the number on the right... "255"! 9.) Now you've got your rosters list opened, your in the free agents catergory, and you've established you have room for your new character. 10.) So at the top of MVP Edit is a button called create with a little plus sign on it. Click that button... 11.) A Player named A' Player has been added to the free agent list. That is the response you should see after clicking on the create button. 12.) just select o.k. 13.) Now at the top of your free agents list on the left you see the new character the edit program created called "A., Player" SELECT THAT CHARATER (left click with your mouse to select) 14.) Now on the right hand side of MVP Edit you'll see all your editing options for the character. - PLAYER, APPEARANCE, HITTING VS. LEFTIES, & HITTING VS. RIGHTIES.... 15.) Go ahead, what are you waiting for, fill in the blanks in each catergory and or select how awesome you want your characters stats to be as you make yourself the next Barry Bonds. 16.) Do your last name, first name, position you want to play, which side of the plate your bat from, which you throw from, your player ratings and age and contract under the PLAYER catergory. Under the APPEARANCE catergory do your stats for height, weight, hairstyle, hair color, facial hair, batting stance, swing type, ditty, star power, face, and bat colors, glove colors etc., etc. . . . Then under VS. L, & VS. R. select how great your players hitting, contact, and power will be from each side as well as his hot zones/cold zones and wether he takes, misses, or chases fastballs, slow breaks, and hard balls. 17.) Once you've filled out your stats here are a few tips... the highest your takes, misses and chase can be is 15 the lowest is 0. The higher the number of takes the better. The lower the number of chases', and misses the better. Same for hitting and power (similar) 100 is the best power and contact, where 0 is the lowest. Under APPEARANCE make your star power awesome for a player that will get better as he progresses in the game through the seasons. 18.) now for importing your face file and your picture. If no one has made you a cyberface for your face file photo under the appearance catergory or if your don't have your own that you made then where it says "no picture found" just ignore it. If you have your own cyberface then upload it here by clicking directly onto the window where it says "no picture found" then follow the steps and selct your saved cyberface whereever you saved it on your hard drive and change your ORD & ORL files. I personally have always used other already made players cyberfaces by selecting under APPEARANCE & in the box that's marked face a number, for instance if you think you look like Pedro Astacio then go and find Pedro Astacio in the roster files and look under his appearance catergory. You'll see his face #number is 218. Now go back to your created character under free agents and make your face #number 218. Close enough!? 19.) Finally, make sure your saved personal photo of yourself that you want in the game is this size 256x256. Use the microsoft paint program to size up your .bmp photo of yourself. Then under the player catergory right where it says No Picture Found click in that box. Now follow the upload new picture step and get your 256x256 photo, select it, it should show up, select o.k. ... Now go up to the TOOLS catergory in MVP Edit once you've done all yours stats, imported or selected a cyberface under the appearance catergory, & under the player catergory imported your photo. Under TOOLS, select "Check Errors" this will run a few seconds and make sure there are no roster errors. if there are none, then select EXPORT and export your new rosters to your C:/program files/EA Sports/MVP Baseball 2005/data/database folder If you installed MVP Baseball somewhere else then it will still be your similar path to the EA Sports/MVP Baseball 2005/data/database folder double click on database and besure it's selected & then hit o.k. down at the bottom of MVP edit you should see it run the export of the files and new rosters into the folders and tell you it's complete. It should only take a few seonds. This is how I've always done it and it's worked for me. So now go check and see if it worked for you to, and start jacking home runs or throwing no hitters. Hope this helps... PEACE!
