Radar Detectors?

Radioshack is good for pieces and parts. Don't buy a radar there.

Just hit Google and do some good old fashioned research. When you find your price range and the best radar for the money, scour eBay for a deal.

Man, I had a bad experience with ebay. I was banned for like a few weeks and don`t ask why.

My last speeding ticket came on one of the worst days I've had in the past few years.

The day before, I busted up my shoulder snowboarding. I was on the way back from the Orthopedic Surgeon who just got done telling me I had to get a screw in my shoulder. On the way home I caught a rock in the corner of my new car's windshield ('05 WRX - my baby) and watched a crack split about 12 inches across my window.

Meanwhile, as I was cussing up a storm and getting my phone out to call my brother about the wonderful screwfilled news, I apparent entered a reduced speed zone where NO road construction was happening and was nabbed by a stater going 52 in a 45. Where the normal speed limit is 55. We debated a bit on the lack of adequate speed limit signs. He didn't care much for my personal situation either. The fact that I had a multiple thousand dollar surgery in my future. He did juke me out and said he was going to give me a break. He then went into a dramatic pause, letting me think that he was going to let me off with a warning. ...Only to say that he was giving me a break since he wasn't going to double my fine for speeding in a construction zone. Dickmove by him.

So yeah, I'm done speeding for a bit. But I haven't been driving much the last month and half. Tough to drive stick with one arm.

Getting caught speeding DOES suck. Especially when you're hosed for going 7 mph over on one of the worst days of your life.

Well, if you did not drive too slow than people would not have the reason to drive fast

No, I failed because of a stupid city cab who felt he was king of the road, and almost got me into an accident when I had the right of way. Insta-Fail because of one jackass.

Again, I say FU to speeding when you put other drivers in danger

I don`t see how is that a learned lesson since I am buying the radar detector so that I can go over the speed limit. Hey, these speeding tickets are just govermnet`s bussiness.

A radar detector doesn't tell you the speed your going (you could look down for that) It tells how close the cop is to you.

I luckily passed my drivers test with a solid 86...

Although i didn't know the speed limit of a certain main road in suburban University Place, Wa. (roughly a half hour away) The instructor wouldn't tell me so i guess and was lucky with 35. even though bridgeport should be much faster.

I just got a lovely letter from the grays harbor police department saying they caught wind of a ticket i had 5 months after i got my 6 month deferment for speeding. Damn Washington State patrol is always out to get me. One was in the middle of nowhere (satsop, wa, roughly 80 miles away) doing 75 in a 60 with my mom in the car... the other was in lovely Sumner (roughly 3 miles away), doing 65 in a 55 with my mom in the car agian. I was taking her to the eye doctor and we were really late...

The cops are really after the 19 year old's driving their mom's silver buick's. I doubt i'll ever get pulled over in my beautiful 89 nissan maxima.

ok, my tons of info filled rant is over.

I debated a rader detector, but it wouldnt be worth my money.

Thr33nl, what town was it? I remember really wanting to drive to eastern washington to take my test.
