Steal Home

Hey,

I am playing MVP Baseball for a long time now, and I nearly good everything done exept for 20Ks and stealing Home.

I tried different methods, for example, railroading the catcher ( 95% no ball loss) anyway it doesn't count as a stolen base.

or

Runner on 1st and 3rd runner on first goes, as soon as the ball is thrown, the runner on third advances to home (but and here is the bad thing about it, as soon as the cather stands up, the runner on third runs back to the bag, and when i send him home he is caught almost everytime)

I even tried to let the 1st baserunner to return to first almost 90% of the way to introduce a rundown, but they always throw back to home where my runner is caught.

the only thing i could imagine is, runner on 1st and third, that the runner steals 2nd in a slide and the throw is down, so that it isn't overthrown resulting in an error, and the fielder has to go down on its knees to prevent it from going into the outfield, that might give the runner enough time.

But I didn't get it yet.

Has any of you successfully stolen home, and how did you do that (so that it counts?)

Thanks a lot!

I actually once managed to steal home with juan pierre by headfirst sliding to the first-base side on a curveball, but I'm guessing it was a fluke. The catcher flat-out missed the tag.

What you can do is modify the game tunings so the runner delay is -50. Then, if you have a speedy runner he'll have a huge jump and often steal home before the catcher has time to tag him.

you need to try and steal on a pitcher that has a big windup and hopefully pick a slow pitch like a curve or changeup.. I manage it a couple times a season...

I was playing as the Blue Jays against the Red Sox last night. Daisuke was pitching. I put on a suicide squeeze with Royce Clayton on third. The pitch was a pitch out, but Clayton ended up scoring anyways because the pitch was way off the plate and Jason Varitek had to jump for it.
