very nice rolie. just got doen playing a game. ran smoothly for me. played the entire game with no crashing. the only things i found wrong was minor. when you hit a homerun it shows the batter roundin first and its slow but then sppeds up. i dont consider it a problem. the other things were the cameras that show the dugout. other than that this is the best stadium mod i have seen!

ran smooth, but a bunch of textures failed to load (basically everything behind homeplate, a couple fences, retired numbers, foul pole)

hmmm? do you get that red missing texture? I think if i turn off AA I will see what your talking about. lemme check

wait, there's no netting yet(foul poles behind homplate, dugouts) or animated ads. As far as retired numbers, should only be ten numbers. I think thats what your;e talking about but If you see that missing red texture then that's a definite red flag.

Jesus. #)($*#)($*ing. Christ.

Not only is it gorgeous beyond belief, it's the quickest running game I've ever seen in MVP. w.t.f.

There's no reason to even keep modding with this out, because, like, I could never hope to come close to it. Truly an incredible accomplishment.

thanks Sean O. I did that mipmap thing you were talking about on all the textures and took out unnecessary DXT3 files.

well performance seems to be ok so far. That's what I was worried about the most. Now can relax and just polish this baby up. :stickman:

Hey rolie, it keeps crashing at the various points. The first crash happend just before the batting order came out and then in the middle of the 1st inning and so on. The ballpark looks amazing.

ok, i had problem earlier also with the overhead view. lemme try some things tonight Ill pm you tomorrow with a more optimized version. As far as the first inning and forth what exactly is in the view? Like does it keep reoccurring during a certain camera mode? i know its annoying but i gotta pinpoint what's causing these crashes.

you know what, I just played an entire game and it did not crash. I set the anisotropic and antialiasing to 2x; when i tried to play it before, those two settings were 16x and 8x.

Also, the sky is white and when the ball is rolling in the out field grass it seems that is going little too fast.

ok thats helps a lot. Some cards display certain texture sizes differently especially when certain AA settings are used. I think Iv'e pinpointed the problem to odd texture sizes relative to mipmap sizes.

edit- yeah sky is not in yet.

Crashed the first time for me after showing the starting pitcher. Then tried again and was able to play a whole game. No slow down or stuttering on my system.

Collision detection was good on the outfield walls. Have not hit a foul pole yet.

Running ATI card. Have AA at 8x and AF at 16x.

*Also, good to see Ms. Milano in the crowd. :wtg:

Ok, the only part that I understood was that you pinpointed something :) Will that mean that I will be able to raise those AA settings little bit higher?

What amazing work! Just played nine innings with no lag, realistic collisions, and smooth as silk, except, I get the same missing textures as Hory posted and no dust when a player slides. Otherwise, unbelievable, with Mylissa and her Clones scattered around. Beautiful. Can't wait to see it under the lights.

ok I think I've fixed all the crashing and missing retired numbers.

To fully test the crashing just let the start and completely go through intro to lineup. If you get past intro you should be set.

Missing dust? hmmn does anyone else get this also?

beta2

this should be last beta until final release. you should be able to run with any card on any aa settings.

Numbers are there now and look great,

I definitely have dust, it's a little less dense than in some other stadiums so maybe that's why it doesn't show up for some.

Just dam great.. nuff said. Question rolie if zmodeler is a free plugin why is requesting me to register to import?

yeah you need to pay to import 3ds. But I never registered. I use the free version. 3ds files are very unstable when importing anyways. You can do all your 3d modeling in Zmod. It has all the basic tools as programs worth a grand. Yeah it doesn't have all the useless extra bells and whistles but Zmod kicks Oedits' **** in all aspects.

One quick question about Dodger Stadium - are you going to work with the light/coloring of the individual sections at all? Structurally it is perfect, but it seems everything is a bit bright.

I'm partially wondering because I don't know what zmod imports/exports, and whether or not it strips that information. Also, did you take most of what EA had already done and augmented it, or did you start from scratch? I'm having a hard time determining which is which.

Great job, again.

I tried beta 2 and it`s just like the beta 1 except that it`s sems that you fixed crashing problem ( I raised the AA settings to 8x and i played few innings and it did not crash;however, performance then becomes slugish but if I lower the AA settings to 2x then it`s fine) As for the missing textures, they were not missing in the beta 1 or beta 2.

Note: when I slide, there is no dust.
