Who Broke Your Perfect Game & Why?

Im sure many of you guys have pitched perfect games, referring to mvp 07 mod of course but who broke your perfect games and why well you dont have to say why lol.

Ive pitched a few perfect games but just like 30 minutes ago I had one going with Johan Santana against the Yankees. This was important cause I had never thrown a perfect game on MVP difficulty.

All was going well, Johan wasnt exactly mowing down batters but he did force alot of groundouts, skip ahead to the 9th Inning where he got the first two batters out but the 3rd POSADA who I've always hated facing in the game hit a seeing eye single to right to break the perfect game :( it sucked lol. He broke Johans perfect game because he is a mean *****...

Oh and if your wondering why my team is stacked its because im in the 3rd season...

the latest chance I had was a 0-0 game with Halladay pitching vs. the Yankees... Johnny Damon hits a walk off home run the other way with 2 out in the bottom of the 9th

I had the most HEARTBREAKING loss of a perfect game loss ever known to man a few weeks back.

I was destroying with Felix Hernandez against Oakland. I had something sick like 13 Ks. Well I had two outs in the ninth and on a 1-1 pitch to Kotsay, my freakin' finger slipped off the button! You know the kind. Your thumb slips off the button and the controller kinda slides up into the crux of your palm. Just horrid. I didn't even get halfway up the pitch meter and I was screaming "NO NO NO!" at my computer screen before the pitch even left his hand.

Needless to say, Kotsay squashed it up the middle for a line drive single.

Horrible way to lose a perfect game.

i was perfecting the red sox back in mvp 2005 (seems like such a long time...) with mark mulder, bill mueller led off the 9th inning with a line drive single, the red sox eventually won that game 4-1 i got 10 hits they got 4

im still annoyed about that game...

that was the closest stint to a perfect game i've got.

my second closest was with pedro martinez when i was perfect for 7.2 innings before miguel cabrera got a bloop single because i accidentally moved the right analog stick on what would have been an easy out and a perfect game...

I just had a no-hitter going with Oswalt in the 6th inning and decided to throw it all away in order to plunk Randy Johnson in the head for the second time (the first was the only reason the game so far wasn't perfect).

Would Roy O. approve? I wish I could find the picture of him smirking after beaning Michael Barrett....

I had a perfect game through 8.2 IP with Roy Halladay too...

but then there was a hit to the left side, easily picked up by Troy Glaus, but then the throw was slow and to high, so the batter beat the throw just by millisconds (almost a draw and I had my Manager beat the crap out of the umpire ;) )

If the throw would a least been not catchable anymore it would have been a no-hitter, but that was heartbreaking too... and I hate it to lose a perfect game to the last batter

I have 2 stories.

1. I was pitching with this guy Fabio Italiani (Created) and I was in the 9th one out away from a perfect game. (What made it better was that I had 26 straight K's!) upsteps some idiot (I don't remember who) and hits a little line drive single up the middlr (Now THATS a Heartbreaker) But it was ok, I struck out the next batter for my 27th K!

2. (At least i got a no-hitter out of this one) Dontrelle Willis on the mound, this time top 9, two out. Ground ball to GOLD GLOVE third baseman Mike Lowell. He boots it. Error. I get the next guy out, so no-hitter still in tack Perfection on hold.

I acctually did pitch a Perfect game with Moyer, and with Rocket :)

Thats nuts man lol, I hate that too cause when that happens its usually a pitch right down the pipe and the hitters just tatoo it.

  • 3 weeks later...

I've been playing on MVP difficulty with intense sliders for a couple years, so no perfect games or no-hitters for me. But I had a gem going with Santana just now...

I gave up a single to Nick Swisher in the 5th on an 0-2 count (1st hit of game) with 1 out. Get a double play after that, and eventually get to the 9th inning. I have 9 K's and have given up just 1 hit. I get the first batter to ground out, then Piazza hits a single. Todd Walker then hits a grounder to Castillo at 2nd, who throws to 2nd base to get Piazza. But apparently Alexi Casilla's foot was off the bag at 2nd (Piazza safe), AND Casilla overthrows Morneau at 1st, breaking up the game-ending double play.

At this point, the tying run (Jason Kendall steps to the plate). I'm leading 3-0, and on an 0-2 count, Kendall hits a 3-run homerun to left. I end up giving up two more runs in the inning and lose the game 5-3.

One of the hardest losses I've ever taken.

I've gotten lucky and thrown 1 perfect game and 2 no-hitters. Most of my perfect games have been broken up, the most memorable is I'm the Reds playing the Astros (Don't remember why), anyway Aaron Harang has a perect game in the 8th inning and Brad Ausmus hits one to Edwin Encarnacion at 3B, he throws the ball over 1B head and the system rules the play a hit. I was so frustrated I brought the manager out and got him tossed and ended up playing 18 innings and winning off of a Adam Dunn shot.
