Ticaliano
I know this would probably be quite the project, if even possible. I'm so tired of the play by play in MVP 2005, but the game seems so empty when you turn it off. Would it be possible to add user created play by play/speech files into the game? If so, I would volunteer as a play by play guy. :smokin:

The big complaint is that Kuiper and Krukow are terrible, especially Krukow. I'll repeat what I read in the other threads concerning this. Is it possible to do this? Yes. But the work involved in doing this is tremendous. You would have to get every single sound bite from the game and replace them with a new one. The time involved would not be worth it. Ticaliano
A brand new play by play experience would be well worth it in my opinion. How hard of a project do you think it would be, and how long (ballpark estimation) would it take? I'm not a modder, but I would guess the steps would more or less go like this: 1. Make a script for each event. 2. Record the play by play and voice overs. 3. Convert the material to MVP 2005 compatible data files.
Yankee4Life
I'll repeat what was talked about before: It is the huge amount of audio in this game that has held people back from doing this.
superciuc
I think that there are at least 16,000 sounds in this game. So, here's my question: why i heard the same things from these 2 morons in MVP 2005? Sometimes i want Joe Morgan. Kuiper and Krukow suck! Now, there are 2 things to do: first, replace all the 16,000 sounds in the game or, second, broadcast the game yourself (advice: if you want to make dumb comments like Joe Morgan does, choice Trues ESPN overlay and press the button A on your keyboard, if you want to broadcast like everybody does, choice Trues fantasy MLB overlay and press button B on your keyboard). Still, that's a very vague comment. What are we looking at in terms of man hours? Also, keep in mind that I'm not talking about converting audio found in other baseball games. I'm talking about creating all new, original content. You know how the old saying goes, Y4L: if there's a will, there's a way. ;)

LetsGoFish2015
I agree. Also, real announcers talk about other stuff not game-related.............,
pistonj92
if there's a will, there's a way. Well there really isn't a will to do all of that. Here is my estimate: 16,000 audio clips To replace an audio clip you have to listen to what it is, record your own, and reformat it to the right file name and type. Guesing on an average this will take about 3 minutes a sound clip, but some might take longer.(It took me about 3 minutes to record my own player audio.) So 16,000x3 is 48,000 minutes. 48,000 minutes is 800 hrs. 800 hrs. is 33 days and 8 hours straight. And it probably is a low average for what it will really take. And I can barely even mod audio for a half hour without taking a break, it is too dull and repetetive.(or maybe it is my attention span)
