MVP Overlay Swapper 2

I have made a 2.0 version of my MVP Baseball Overlay Swapper. It has been completely re-written.

===============================================

From the Readme:

MVP Overlay Swapper 2.0

Changes:

Rewrote from the ground up. Requires .Net Framework 2.0 to run.

To Install:

1. Unzip the archive to any folder on your pc

2. Run the install.exe file and it will gude you through the install process by installing the swapper, writing the necessary ini files and copying the necessary files from your MVP Baseball Install Directory to the Swapper Install Directory.

3. Put your overlays in sub-directories in the overlay directory

To install and overlay:

1. Select and overlay from the list

2. If a screenshot in the form of a jpeg file exists in the overlay directory it

will be shown (you must create a screenshot for it to be shown)

3. Click install overlay to install the overlay

Play MVP Baseball

Enjoy!

PS For questions or comments email me at khertenstein@gmail.com

============================================

You can Download the swapper here: Download Page

Thanks,

khertens

i try to run the program and i get this error.

MVP Overlay Swapper has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

i know i have .Net Framework 2.0 on my computer, as i have the schedule updater and that work just fine.

Does this automatically use any fonts.big, logos.big, datafile.txt and igcrsr.fsh files that might be in the overlay? Do these files need to be in the main folder of the overlay or in their own folders in that particualr overlay?

It automatically uses the ones included in the overlay, but you should also copy the ones from your install folder to the folder you extracted the swpper to. I.E. if you extracted the swapper to c:swapper copy your logos.big and fonts.big and igrscr.fsh to c:swapper

Please re-download the file from the first post here or from the downloads section. I have fixed the swapper so that it copies the logos.big file over.

You can try it. Make sure the following files are in the folder where you extract the swapper to:

fonts.big

igcrsr.fsh

installed.ini

logos.big

MVP Overlay Swapper.exe

noimg.jpg

readme.txt

settings.ini

you should not extract this to the same folder as MVP Baseball Overlay Swapper 1.0 or 1.1

I think I have fixed the

"MVP Overlay Swapper has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." error. I figured out that this seems to occur if the overlays directory does not have any overlays in it. I will upload an update to the first post in this thread. Please download and test it if you are having this problem so that I can release it.

I have added a new version 2.1.2702 in the first post. This version uses an installer to install the program but you still have to install overlays manually into sub-directories in the overlay directory that is located in the directory where you installed the swapper program

just installed the new version of this. installs fine. but when i try to "install overlay", it gives me an exception error. i had an overlay folder in another folder and i moved it to there. so ill delete that and try to install a newer one and see what happens

update: looks good. it ran when i installed an overlay (ksm 0.9), but when i chose yankees as the home, the logo looked a little strange. it was wider than normal (logo when picking teams) and then it crashed. didnt crash for other teams i had picked.

also how do you put back the original overlay. that is not in the list

I've also run into the same problem. It kept giving me an error saying it couldn't find igcrsr.fsh eventhough that file, along with fonts.big, logos.big are in the folder that you mentioned that also contains the noimg, MVP Overlay Swapper, settings.ini etc.

Here's the message:

Could not find a part of the path 'errordataigshapesigcrsr.fsh'.

I am also wondering how to revert back to the original overlay.

I had this problem the first time i ran it also. What you have to do is when the installer prompts you to select the .exe file, DON'T select the "mvp overlay swapper.exe", but rather select the mvp2005.exe from your game directory.

Solved the problem for me, at least.
