stevieaces
http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=VC...6APB-DT&cat=VCD Anyone have this card or is it junk?
0wen
It might be useful to know what video card you are upgrading from but the card should be fine for MVP but do not expect blazing fast speeds in any newer game since this is a 3 year old videocard. You may have trouble running the 2x uniforms and higher res stadiums as I have some occasional slowdown running them at 1280x1024 and I have a Geforce 7800GT, which is a much newer and more powerful card. If you look at the following link: http://www.guru3d.com/article/Videocards/425/2/ You will see the order of the Geforce series 6 and 7 cards as far as specs go. A Geforce 7600, 7800 or 7900 will give you more performance for not that much more money (mainly talking about the 7600 as the 7800 at least is 2-3 times what you paid) but in the end, if you are happy with your purchase, that is all that matters and a quick google search is another helpful tip before any new computer related purchase. stevieaces
Uh, look at the first post in this thread here: http://www.mvpmods.com/Forums/viewtopic/t=18754.html I have looked that thread over before I posted and did see it in the list, but I was mainly wondering about the hdtv out features as I am using a vizio 32in LCD for my monitor. Pretty sure I wont have a problem running mvp with it. Thanks Steve
IronicMan
For 63$, you could have gotten a better card... like a 6600GTOC AGP. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Se...84779&CatId=880 Although be very careful in filling out the rebate or they will deny you. seanzarelli
I'm assuming this is the same thing as the nVidia GEForce 6200? If so, I have the card and I can: A.) Run MVP with Max everything at 1280x1024 with no stuttering or slowdown B.) Run Battlefield 2 @ Max everything at 1024x768 with little to no stuttering C.) Play the new Command & Conquer game @ Max everything at 1024x768 with no stuttering or slowdown D.) Play Nascar Racing 2003 Season at Max everything with no stuttering or slowdown E.) Play Black & White 2 @ High everything with no stuttering or slowdown That's all I can think of off the top of my head. Not a big gamer though, so I guess that's why I'm happy with the card. Also, I can't tell you about the HDTV features or anything though as I still have a Standard Definition TV
scotty2hotty
I have the GeForce 6600 and I do get a little slow down with 2x uni's. I got it cheap, and I'm of Dutch descent, so, it all makes sense.

stevieaces
Man am i ticked.....I dont have an AGP 2.0 slot on my motherboard.... Can anybody guide me in the right direction, my mobo is a biostar u8668-d and yes I know google is my friend..lol...been googlin all morning. From what I gathered it has a 2x AGP slot, what card would not be worthless without spending a bunch if possible, or should I just go the pci route? Oh yeah might have a geforce 6200 for sale dang it. Thanks Steve
