climbing the wall

Is there a way to make your outfielder climb the wall to try to steal a home run? I've noticed the computer can do it when you play against it, but I cannot . It also doesn't work against someone in Direct IP play. When I hit the right analog stick up, the guy only jumps. I try to time it to the circle changing from red to green, but still my outfielder only jumps and doesn't climb the wall. Any ideas? Thanks.

I'm 99.999% sure its impossible to do. There have been many threads about it and no one has any clue about it. EA just gave us the short end of the stick on that one.

It is very possible to climb the wall with your fielder. Are you using a keyboard or a controller? I am using a controller (logitech) and I just press the movement stick and the button # 3 and I am able to climb even if the shot is a home run. If you are using the keyboard, then I am not sure.

If it is red, all you can do is just jump. If the circle turns green, you press the left analog stick and button # 3 at the right moment and you will be able to climb the wall. It all depends on timing because if you mistime you will just be jumping.

Sorry about that - its left analog stick. Timing is everything. If I am in that situation again, I will grab a video of it and post it on here. But yes, you can climb the wall but need near perfect timing.

Is that for MVP Fielding control method only? I never notice the colors with manual fielding in the MVP 07 mod.
