I have kouzmanoff vs LHP and Blum vs RHP - and I just played Blums first game at 2B, and I'm really considering looking at some other options in the farm or trading block :] you'll see when i get that posted up

Looking really nice man - especially the post-game report. I just feel that those straight cuts are better looking than the other one. Awesome control for Young, but the hits are quite high. Good luck in grabbing the win. Take care.

Yeah, it's gonna take a while to get my pitchers hits down - The first 3 or 4 appearances even for some pitchers was before I really made it challenging, so I was getting like 14 hits each side in each game, but now ive been getting like 5-9 which makes it a bit more realist, I've also been playing with no strikezone / no cold zone / no hitters eye and no pitch cursor past couple games, so this games been a lot more fun.

And yeah I thought the other post game report was just kinda all over the place, so I thought id just squares and rectangles for now to see how it goes, and I like it a bit more, I'm glad you do too, thanks for checking in

Game 22 of 162 - @ Diamondbacks

Blum blows 2, Cameron saves 2

PostGame-Game22-ARZ.jpg

PostGameScoreboard-Game22-ARZ.jpg

PHOENIX -- Again, it's hard for the Padres not to have an edge when Chris Young is taking the mound, with the Diamondbacks sending a 1-2 pitcher to the mound. In a rare ocasion, the game was scoreless through the first 3 innings, but the Padres ended that in the 4th inning when Mike Cameron homered, then Adrian Gonzalez homered later that inning (for the 2nd game in a row). The Diamondbacks tried to retaliate but didn't manage anything and barely got a run on a throwing error by Geoff Blum. This wouldn't be the only time as the very next inning, in another double play ball, Geoff Blum would over throw and a runner scored, tying the game 2-2. The great part of having a good team with you, is you can make a mistake, but your team is there to back you up, and this was shown today as Adrian Gonzalez homered the next frame to give the Padres a 3-2 lead. Chris Young would continue to pitch well, and pitched 7 innings. Scott Linebrink came in the 8th and kept the Diamondbacks quiet. Geoff Blum did something helpful and hit a solo shot in the 9th inning to give Hoffman a bit of cushion coming into the Bottom of the 9th for the save, Hoffman wouldn't need the help as he retired the Diamondbacks as they came out to give the Padres their 15th win of the season, and take the series 2-1.

Congrats on the win. I really like the latest post-game report. Square pics are the way to go. Looking good man. Will be looking for Hoffman to get that 500th save in your dynasty. He's got 490 in my Cubs Dynasty and we just started the month of June. My Cubbies roughed the Padres up on our recent West Coast swing. Hoffman got nothing.

Keep up the good work. :wtg:

Thanks, I'm just disappointed with Blum, I'm gonna have to get someone else, because those 2 runs could've cost the game had Cameron not had an amazing arm tonight - I'd use Kouzmanoff but he has a horrible bat vs RHP

yeah, it just wont be an every day thing, idk if you notice, but I like playing a few games a day (I babysit my little brother almost every night so there's not much to do) and the thing about doing videos, is it takes about 5 hours to render, so I'd rather just do those when I play before I go to bed so I can render before I go to bed - I dont know if windows movie maker takes less time because I dont have it or use it, but if it did, then I could prolly do it every game

Pads don't manage a Penny; First shut out of season

PostGame-Game23-LAD.jpg

PostGameScoreboard-Game23-LAD.jpg

SAN DIEGO -- Everyone was looking forward to this game, 2 big rivals and the standings are close, and then you add on a David Wells & Brad Penny match up, just great. The first 2 innings went by fast with both pitchers flexing their muscles until Wells slipped up a bit when Brad Penny lead off with a double and then Rafael Furcal tripled and Juan Pierre sac flied. That was pretty much it, David Wells pulled it together and pitched great. In the 6th inning, Wells was pulled for a pinch hitter in a 2-0 ball game and the result wouldn't be good. Since Wells was pulled for a pinch hitter another pitcher was brought in the 7th, Cla Meredith slipped up in the 8th and allowed 5 runs off 5 hits and that was it, the game ended with Brad Penny pitching a complete game, and shut out the Padres for their first time all season.

yeah, 7-0 though ;[ and the thing is, I put in my man with the best ERA (.093) to hold it down while I get some runs, and he lets 5 go through

Great dynasty....I noticed something....

All of these dynasties have very well presented post-game photos and stuff....the players look so smooth compared to my game....is it that you doctor up the photos, or is it your gfx card?

Game 24 of 162 - @ Dodgers

Cameron saves Hoffman

PostGame-Game24-LAD.jpg

PostGameScoreboard-Game24-LAD.jpg

SAN DIEGO -- Boy oh boy, did the Padres get humiliated last night or what? With a 7-0 loss to the Dodgers the night before, the Padres were looking for nothing less than revenge here and with Germano making his first appearance of the year, who knew if they'd get it or not. It look as if he would be a great start as he provided the pitching and the Padres provided the scoring. With a solo shot in the bottom of the second and a sac fly in the bottom of the third, the Padres jumped out to an early 2-0 lead. Germano kept the Dodgers scoreless, retiring them in 1-2-3 fashion in the first, the second, the third and oh yeah the fourth. Germano and a short no hit bid going on for 4 innings until it was broken up in the 5th by Luis Gonzalez, and I guess it's true that everyones tough until you hit them once, because things went down hill fast but not all because of Germano. The 5th inning saw overthrows and a bad diving play give the Dodgers 3 runs off only 3 hits to give the Dodgers a 3-2 lead going into the bottom of the 5th. The Padres made up for ruining Germano's gem by rewarding him with 3 runs in the bottom, a 2 run shot by the rookie Kouzmanoff and a solo shot by Khalil Greene would put the Padres back up 5-3. Juan Pierre would reach base on an error to open up the inning and then eventually because of a wild pitch would score to put the Padres in a tight 5-4 spot. Germano would be pulled for a pinch hitter and with a win opportunity, it was up to the bullpen and the 3 error defense to let him keep it. Scott Linebrink would come in to pitch 2 scoreless, no hit innings. Things were now up to the best closer in baseball to lock it down. In the bottom of the 9th Garciaparra opened up with a single but Hoffman would get Kent to pop out and then strike out the slugger Luis Gonzalez to give the Padres 2 outs. Things started looking bad when Russel Martin singled to put 2 on, 2 out. Andre either would step up the plate who had an RBI that game. Padre fans held their breath as Andre Ethier lined a ball past the pitcher into center field, Nomar Garciaparra put the pedal to the metal and took off, rounding third as Cameron snagged the ball and threw a bullet to get Garciaparra out at the plate and give the Padres the 5-4 win, Germano's first win of the season and saving Hoffman of getting his first blown save of the season.
