Game Crashes in 08'

I have the 07' Mod installed. I used the 07 maker to start my season in 2007. It played fine all through 2007, and then through the draft and during every game of spring training. However on the very first game of the 2008 season, it crashes every single time. I can play manager mode and it plays well or I can simulate the season and it continues but when I actually go into the game to play, it starts up and announces the teams playing and then just before the at bat, it crashes.

I haven't changed or mod-ed' anything in between.

Any idea's?

check your team, and the team your playing against. Go into edit player mode, and check each player and make sure that while trying to edit a player it doesn't crash. I had a similar problem, and it was a wrong cyberface issue. See if you can sim the first series, and then play against a different team.

I did a little searching around though, and I think I discovered the problem. My first game is against the Brewers. Well, I noticed the new stadium for 07' update and went to check it out. I seen that the new update showed that some file sizes were made smaller in the stadium updates to avoid craching for the Brewers stadium. I wondered if that was my problem, and as it turns out it was. I updated the stadium "millday" and "millnite" and went back into the game and played without crashing now. So I think this was the fix. Thanks to whoever discovered those file size problems and made the appropriate changes.

well for me atleast, if i run to many games back to back , it will crash, i just did a full sim, to the next season, and when i got to first game as angels, it did crash, but, i bet if i run like 2 or 3 games, and just work my way up to that point, it probaly wont crash. it even does it if i try to run like 3 or 4 games back to back, it will crash to the destop, but once i restart the whole game, it plays fine. so well see, 165 games, is along way away.
