Runners Going To Second When Hitting To Center?

Can someone help me please. I am using my keyboard to play. When I have a runner on first, and my hitter tries to hit to center or I am pushing number 8 it will make the runner on first always try to steal. How may I prevent this?

Thanks for any and all help. I didn`t know where to put this I`m sorry if its the wrong place.

you have to change some configurations. i play with the keyboard as well. for me, when i want the guy on first to steal second, i have it set to the up arrow key. run to 3rd is the left arrow, home is down arrow. i use the numpad arrows to select which runner on base, and also which way i want to hit the ball. you just have to change the keys that tell the runner to run to whatever base

That works. A better option is just to go and buy a gamepad - Trust me. They're a worthy investment (if you call 20 bucks an investment!). They make gameplay so much better.

Thank both Kabiff and yourself for the help, I will try both of what you have offered. Until I can buy a Gamepad, I will try a different configuration. What Gamepad can be purchased for $20.00 would you recommend? Thanks again to the both of you.

I prefer Saitek's gamepads - they last very long and provide very good feedback. I got my Saitek P2500 at Wal Mart for 20$. Also, the Saitek P800 is good, but it may cost more. And make sure you get the version w/ rumble (the P2500 has it, not sure about the P800)
