ibanezjp
I had another topic about getting a greg vaughn cyberface for mvp 94 because the one in there is a generic face of him. His face is not on the list of cyberfaces on this website as well. He is in the MVP 2004 on the cardinals as one of their bench players. Here is a screenshot I took to prove it. http://s16.quicksharing.com/v/8986742/greg...erface.rtf.html (RTF was the only format I could save it in) Greg is also in total classics but his face is a weird generic face in that as well. Would anyone be able to extract this cyberface from MVP 04 or be able to help me with how to do it. Thank you.
Homer
i made a face for him for TC. it's also in my download. won't work with 04 though.
Hory
Homer's Greg Vaughn face will be included in a MVP 1994 patch to be released sometime in the future. (If you don't want to install it yourself)
ibanezjp
Homer where would I find your downloads so I could get the face? Also I am not trying to use it for 04 but for mvp 94.
ibanezjp
Homer, I checked out the face you made and while I think it looks good, for me the one in mvp 04 looks more like greg vaughn. I want to extract the face from 04. I know the first step is finding his face number in 04 using MVPedit. In MVPedit it says I need to open and .mbe file. Where do find the .mbe file for the 04? Homer
well the question is whether or not mvpedit works with 04. i don't know. i've never used it for that. if it does, you have to have the game installed. open up mvpedit, hit the import button at the top (it'll be one of only two buttons you'll be able to use right away). what you need to do is import the files from the "database" folder. if done correctly, it will prompt you to save it somewhere (so pick a place) and name the file as you wish. this file is now your mbe file. this is the file you'll be opening up from now on to make whatever changes you can. give that a try and let me know if it works since i'm curious. post some screenshots too if you don't mind. ibanezjp
I was able to donwload a version of MVPedit that works with 04. I extracted the face but now I can't import it because I don't know Greg Vaughn's cyberface number in MVP 94 because when I try to open the database folder for MVP 94 I get "run-time error 3022" and the program closes. Hory if you know Gregs cyberface number in MVP94(since you made the mod) could you tell me what it is? Thanks.
Homer
he didn't have one assigned. as you've already answered yourself in your first post, he had a generic face. if you've extracted his face, do you mind posting it? i'd like to give it a looksy. as far as the run time error goes, you can get the mbe file for the 94 mod. it's a known issue and he already posted the file in his thread. look there. oh yeah, and make sure you're using the version of mvpedit for mvp 05. ibanezjp
Homer, how then would I go about importing the face in the game if I don't know which number to replace it with? I will check the thread for for the mbe file. Let me see if I can get the face to work first then I can post it.
Homer
you have to assign him a number in mvpedit. then rename the fsh, ord, and orl files to match that number, then use kraw's installer thingy to install it.
ibanezjp
Where can I donwload kraws installer thingy? I searched for it in downloads and couldn't find it and scrolle dthrough tools and utilities for mvp 2005 and can't find it. Could anyone give me a link. Homer, If you don't mind could you give me some step by step instructions on how to assign him a new number and how to install using the installer thingy. I have not used either of these programs very much. for example if I'm in MVPedit and I type in a new face number for greg vaughn, how do I get that to change in the game. (do I have to do some sort of export or save of the mbe file)
Homer
are you kidding? that's like a 3000 step process. j/k...can't go through it right now, but what you should do is look up a thread markb wrote called "big and nasty all encompassing faq". it tells you how to use it. you'll have to find a cyberface number that isn't already being used. ibanezjp
Homer, Here is the folder with the face files. The 3 files are compressed and there is a folder in it with uncompressed versions. http://s3.quicksharing.com/v/324556/vaughn_face.rar.html I figured some things out and imported the face but it showed in the game all white. Please read this new thread I started that details the steps I took so maybe you can tell me where I screwed up. http://www.mvpmods.com/Forums/viewtopic/t=29730.html Thanks.
