Maestro23
Ouch, Houston we have a problem. Good luck Maestro! Man, I think some Houston reps called some Rangers reps and told them to to have their team rough me up. Those guys smacked the ball around on me real good. I will not forget the "Texas" hospitality that was showed me when I play Houston in the 2nd half of the season. I tell ya though, this young infield is scaring me. We'll see what they do in the Whitesox series.
JoeRudi26
TIED?? Oh man, M. I remember (long ago) when I was in first place in the Central.... ...and then... Houston caught me. Travel well, my friend. ;)

Travel well, my friend. Thanks for the support JR. Man, do you see the infield I've got. Man, this should be fun. I will say this, Eric Patterson can flat-out FLY! I hit a triple with him in the Texas series, he was on 3rd before I knew it.
JoeRudi26
Patterson was doing great for me at 2B after Theriot went down and DeRosa stunk up the Majors. And then WHAM. He fell victim to the vortex located somewhere in the Second Base Area at Wrigley. ;)
redsfan776
tough loss of soriano, but his batting avg wasn't too great, but good thing he's not out too long

JoeRudi26
Wow, that is a young lineup, M. Wouldn't it be nice to scrape up a couple of wins with a young 'rag tag' lineup? It makes it interesting to be forced into situations like this when your guns go down. Good luck, M, and keep us updated. This should be interesting. :)

Tell me about it man. Thanks for taking the time to check out my page. This Whitesox series should be a good test for the youngsters. Luckily I get Ramirez back in 4 days. I'm hoping Pagan does well in the outfield while Soriano is out. With the Division like it is, every game is crucial. Thanks for the luck. :wtg:

Maestro23
Dynasty Update: Cubs take series from cross-town Sox 2-1. Recently acquired catcher Jason Kendall makes an immediate impact on the team. Kendall and Lee are in the voting for the All-Star game. Last place Colorado comes into the friendly confines next. Series stats for our young infield "The Baby Cubs" is posted as well. Not a lot of hitting, but when they did hit, it was timely.

JoeRudi26
Hey M, I just caught your update (ChiSox)! Great job on the series, and it looks like Kendall is working out too. Same here, he hasn't gone hitless in a game yet. How refreshing after dealing with Barrett, Bowen, and Hill. Great write up as always! BTW, who is that (team) that wants to take your top spot? :rocklicker:
JoeRudi26
ok M.... I just caught your upcoming series Page against Colorado.. When did the Cubbies start playing at Wigley Field? LOL Sorry man, I just had to do it. As cheap as it is, with all the great writing on your page, I just KNEW you had to be human. :toothless: Where's that little 'gotcha' smiley? :)

He will make his Wrigley debut in Game 2 of the Rockies series. Man, Houston is like my shadow. They won their last series 2-1 just like I did. I can't wait to go head-to-head with them after the break. Oh, and lets not forget St. Louis. While me and Houston are bashing each others brains in, the Birds might just slide on through.

redsox
The gradient is really giving that page a good feel Maestro. Keep it up and hang in there in the division; its really interesting to watch a divisional race. BTW, that screenshot of the A.J. strikeout looks really good. Take care. Yeah, I wanted to try something a little different. I wish I had the time for experiment with different stuff like you and JR. Man, with the division like it is, every game is fun and crucial at the same time. On the AJ shot, man I love those old Whitesox uniforms from back in the day. Sorry for hijacking your thread over there with helping that guy out. I had just seen him ask that question in too many threads on the boards. Plus, Kraw made the TiT pretty simple, or so I thought. :reading:
Maestro23
Dynasty Update: Never ever take a bad team for granted. Last place Colorado come into Wrigley and embarrass my Cubbies. :headache: Bright spot was Carlos Zambrano. At the other end of the spectrum... Jason Marquis has a ticket on the "Midnight Train" to Iowa. Mark Prior is moving on up. Cubbies are back in 1st-place alone for the minute by 1.5 games. Houston is in the midst of a 4-game skid. St. Louis is just 2 games back. Brew Crew is up next. They have won their last 3 games.
redsox
Looks like Milwaukee is trying to make this a 4-team divisional race. Watch out for them man! You know the one thing I am surprised about is the fact that Zambrano has only 49 SO in 120+ innings.
