View from the Bleachers

As many might know I have a partial season ticket package with the Dbacks at Chase Field. My view from the bleachers actually gets me a view of 17 percent of the season. The other 83 percent has, so far, played out much like the games I attend.

So in an attempt to play a real dynasty for once I am going to try to hold myself to posting result here like my peers.

You will a get a slice of the majors just like I do. I will be using the latest Ultimate Rosters (8.3) and will attempt to keep rosters as close to the real world as possible. I will play all 162 games and if I am good enough, the corresponding playoff matchups.

I will report back with updates following the games I have or will actually attend with my ticket package. But I know there are some games away from the Phoenix area that are going to be enjoyable too so, like in real life I will hit the road for a few baseball vacations along the way.

Everything will be from a fan's perspective. My reaction after the game a brief recap as it might appear on the internet or morning paper and screenshots from my left field seat, unless I upgrade at the ticket office.

This is my first attempt at this so let's see if I finish it.

Hope you all will follow along.

Thanks guys. I will be playing a lot over the next month as my wife is working a lot and I am now going into work an hour earlier everyday.

I'll probably expand the info from games I "attend" and geta cleaner wrapup of the action while they are out of town.

It's nce to be playing the game for once.

Just in case anyone wondered... I have just finished a swing against Boston (I got swept) and the Yankees (dropped 2 of three), but am only a half game out of first.

I put together a strong three weeks where I went 14-3 and then 4-0 to start June before falling off.

After Randy's perfect game he continued his dominance and was making Orel Hershiser sweat as Johnson racked up 40 conseutive scoreless innings before A-Rod took him deep. Drat!

Stephen Drew tore his knee up and is out for 85 days. I have had to scramble because backup Alberto Callaspo is out for 285 days with a torn knee. His career is over.

Interestingly enough Barry Bonds, Scott Kazmir, Alex Gordon and others are on the trading block. Stupid AI.

This is the farthest I have played a dynasty and I am really enjoying it.
