I also have a problem w/ AOLsoftware, and McShield the same exact way. Thanks!

KidCavalier23
Okay, well this is a major bump. I have been having some problems with my new laptop which is running Vista. I have scanned it several times, and I end up having 0 threats/problems/whatever you want to call it. I will open up AOL 9.1 and the Usage jumps all the way up to the low 80's to high 90's. After a while it will stay at 100% for the longest time and my computer runs so slow. I can't watch movies, folders take minutes to open up. - 1790 MB (About 2 GB) of RAM - 32-bit Operating System - AMD Turion 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-56 1.80 GHz (Processor) - Aspire 5100 (Laptop Model) Any help is appreciated. MarkB
Everyone with a clue in the I.T. industry knows that not only are AOL horrible as an ISP, their software is garbage. If your CPU usage jumps up as soon as you open AOL and drops after you've closed it, then guess what? It's AOL that's causing the problem. Get rid of it.
